Indeed. How does one "mock" what doesn't exist.

People exist.  Including the people who you are directly replying to and mocking.

A lot of people used to think the world was flat too.

Just like a lot of people used to think that having cyber muscles was cool, but then they grew up.

One of Aveline's very first dialogues after getting married is about f**king her new husband.

And?

Or you could be wrong?what did I say, please Dave enlighten me. Because I am clearly ignorant on the whole thing. I disagreed with someone.. But back to your point. Yes imagining things is quite possible.

Dude, seriously.  I'm not talking about you.  Relax man.  You said, "We'll agree to disagree".  That's not mocking.

Not mocking anyone, bud. Not my problem if people take every little comment as a personal transgression, lol.

Nah but you do the same thing to people that you complain about. You think because you do it subtle and with that " I'm above all of this mentality" that it's not the same.

And?

So she didn't just want to marry him because she thought he was nice and thoughtful and a good guardsman. And not just that one dialogue, but practically every other banter she has with Isabela after she gets married is some variant of "so how was the sex last night?"

SHE WANTED THAT D! /fratboy

Again, and?

Talking about her attraction to a guy is not bringing up her sexuality until she specifically states that she only likes men, as dorian did. Her marriage and missions associated was never about her sexuality, period.

She (along with Isabela) are the only companions in DA2 to ever even mention their sexualities outside Hawke attempting a romance. edit: I forgot Anders mentions he was in a relationship with Karl the Tranquil before Karl was made Tranquil.

If a core part of Aveline's arc is her marriage to Donnic, and a healthy handful of dialogues and banters are largely sexual conversations about her bedtime exploits with Donnic, then her sexuality is, by definition, a core characteristic. Heterosexuality or homosexuality or whatever has nothing to do with it.

Thank you.

You are just bitter because I'm not concerned about calling you out when you start making fun of people and their sexuality.  Next time, I'll just report you and move on since it's against board rules.  Frankly, it's clear that you don't care about other people's thoughts, so I won't worry about yours in the future either.  Attempting dialogue with you just isn't worth my time.

You can make whatever assumption about her sexuality you want, but until her sexuality comes to the forefront, as it does in Dorian's, it is not about her sexuality.

You can noodle it around all you wish. There's a big difference in talking about you liking men only and just showing that you like men. One is specific and excludes all other possibilities, the other doesn't.

You wouldn't know Merrill was bisexual if you only played as male hawke. I didn't know until much later when I read about it.

You are just bitter because

LOLOL, Let me stop you right there... I haven't taken a single bit of this seriously... You'll be hard pressed to show I'm bitter.

Meanwhile you're sitting there being passive aggressive mentioning "the same crowd" mocking people as if we don't know who you're talking about.

Yep, I'm the one that's bitter, ROFL

Which is why I didn't want to go that direction, to be honest.  And, also why I should probably just hang out in the dwarf support thread more and avoid other topics.

I'll remember this when DatAZZexual is a thing. You better say that same **** too, lol.

I want my orientation represented in Bioware too. There's a severe lack of bare ass shots from Cass and I WONT STAND FOR THIS OPPRESSION!

I'm not making any assumptions about anything. You know from the moment you meet her that Aveline is heterosexual (or at least bisexual) because she's married to Ser Wesley. And her sexuality does indeed come to the forefront, in those same dialogues and banters I mentioned earlier. It isn't the subject of a quest, but it's the basis around numerous conversations in the game, and appears to be one of the centerpieces of her relationship with another character (Isabela ruthlessly teases Aveline because Aveline is apparently pretty wild with Donnic in the sack).

"Talking about you liking men" is exactly what happens with Dorian too. You never see him kissing another man unless you romance him, and he only ever talks about his being gay (either during his personal quest or when he enters his relationship with Bull). In either case of Aveline or Dorian, you never SEE anything, because that would make the game rated AO and taken off of store shelves.

You killed your whole argument right there. The fact that you don't know exactly is my whole point. Because she never clarifies. You're making an assumption.

Also, Dorian never says that he likes men "only".  It's implied and we know from external interviews that it's true, but in game, he only says, "I enjoy the company of men."  No different than Aveline.

If a woman is only ever seen hooking up with men and never entertains the idea of hooking up with another woman (another subject of banter between Isabela and Aveline), I think one can safely say she's straight.

My entire point before this was that she likes to f**k and f**ks quite a lot, but whatever.
