Opening chests that are from free gold ground out from time ingame isn't as bad as with the DA iOS app (Heroes of Dragon Age). Opening chests from farmed gold gave NOTHING in that freemium game. You had to dump hundreds of real $ to see anything of real value there. Worse drop odds than Vegas that game. Glad I deleted it from my phone, and glad that DA:I finally came out so I could get my DA fix.

 

Now, yes, it's still frustrating opening up chest after chest from your multitudes of MP success, and not feeling like you're being rewarded for all that quality time spent, but the only real money you spent was $60ish for a pretty fantastic game, with great SP, and fairly decent MP. I'm happy to continue playing and see what I can get after opening 1000 chests. I'm around 500 in or so (have spent about 650k gold) but I've been having better luck opening medium chests, which isn't as gold efficient. I've got 2 unique lvl 20+ weapons, the Agony dagger, and Staff of the Void (I'd LOVE to see Starfang or Sulevin Blade, or another dagger to go along with the one I've got) but the crown jewel of my inventory is the unique 10% HoK ring, a 10% crit ring, and a 20% crit damage ring, as well as the 10% melee and magic defense belts. The next thing I'm hoping for is the unique versions of the hp belt and cooldown necklace I have blue's of, and either the Griffon or Punched by the Maker bows.

 

My advice? Keep at it, and don't get too frustrated too soon. What if you got everything available in the game that you wanted after only playing for a month? Would you quit playing?

no, I would play that game more because I would be enjoying it so much.

I got  Starfang today hidden behind the blue card.It is not Sulevin,but I think,it’s best 2-hander which I got after 650 hours.

While it does not really show anything, but my chest drop increased significantly when I scored 100+ prestige, which had happened recently.

I had 2 similar lv 20 blue daggers, a 20lv bow, a purple 20 dagger, a purple armor penetration ring, blue 15% CD pedant and some other stuff. All that during this weekend event. While before it was mostly white lv<15

 

Could be luck, sure. Could be seeing purples in my drop for the last time ever, but it's hard to believe that all that was just a pure rng.

I finally got some level 20 blues and my 2 epic weapons when I hit 150 Prestige, but then nothing good from them till 300, then I got the rings.
