Not generic but pretty dam boring looking. Final Boyband 15 simply has no style, it is bland to look at.

All of these are meaningless subjective quantifiers. There's no universal "boring" or "style." It's different for everybody.

If by style you mean universal aesthetic design, I disagree--it's "fantasy based on reality." If by style you mean your subjective determination of style, I disagree--while cid and gladiolus are over the top, noct and ignis look good.

Edit: I looked at the most recent P5 video on youtube (under the user atlastube and released yesterday, I suspect that's what you're talking about) and it definitely looked interesting. But it's simply something completely different from FF, they really aren't comparable.

Shame it's not coming to PC though, the whole idea of a social component (the high school) seems neat to me. The lack of loli is a definite bonus too.

I enjoy movies with no gameplay and games with no story

story and gameplay are great together and great individually - though if either of them is particularly bad (as opposed to absent) then it can be off-putting

average, however, is boring - games should stand out in some way

Hey I thought you were a 3DS Master Race guy, you're two-timing.

I may have to get a PS4 though. Maybe. Some bootleg model for like $150 some on a street corner.

I'm actually a hybrid. I embody all the master races I can get my hands on. I had, and still have, a PS2 before I got my hands on a 3DS. If you ever did have an urge to check out Persona 5 you could settle for the cheaper PS3 option. That's what I'm doing. I missed out on an entire generation of PlayStation games though. I can't be going next gen (or I guess it's current now) with so many games to play.

I consider all 3 to be of equal importance and thus all are the same.

^ You can't make up for mediocrity by excel in something else only offset some of the disappointment and frustrations that will come with it, a good game need to do everything well atleast imo.

Dammit EA, it's like you enjoy missing out on good games. I need my KH Remixes so a PS3 is a must for me.

I'm still not sure I'd get a PS4 for XV. I only did for XIII when I could get one for $100 bucks.

I'm not a console guy.

Yeah I know. I'm sure FFXV will put you even further under its sway until you can't help but to buy a PS4. Then you'll have to give P5 a go.

Maybe. I can fall pretty heavily under the "hype" of something but not be controlled by it--I didn't slit my wrists when W_D or Unity came out after all.

ME3 took care of that.

But if I do wind up getting one, I definitely think I'll give this a try.

I don't understand the "all 3 things are of equal importance" option. Aren't story and gameplay only two things?

Gameplay is king. Sure a decent story in a game is enjoyable but let's face it, gaming's the bottom of the barrel as far as story telling mediums go and one's better off looking elsewhere for a quality story.

Eh it was basically meant to be all 3 games are of equal value.

See I think it's possibly the reverse, it's precisely because you have Minecraft no story experiences as well as 9 hour movies that makes video games unique.

I'm not really sure video games have to stand out at all, they just have to do both, otherwise they kind of cease to become video games and ultimately are just movies or Minecraft.
