Or, as he's better known in multiplayer, the Dead Glitchlar Commander. I can't fathom, though it's well into the hundreds, how many runs I've recieved no progress for because of the glitchy death of the commander. He dies, a small amount of xp is awarded over his corpse, you get any health on kill you have coming, but the game still says to defeat all enemies and won't complete. In the case of the red glitchlars, the reward for a job well done is a kick in the teeth 2 out of 3 times. Please make this a priority fix. Between this and the key drop issue, most of the people I used to play with don't play anymore.
I did see you're hoping to have a key drop fix out for consoles next week. Good job on that and thank you. I will re-install the DLC and check it out after the patch comes in. You might also take a look at the red templar assassin as he sometimes doesn't die... Well, he dies but then his body remains behind as an unkillable statue that prevents a key drop. It's nowhere near as often as the commander glitches though - more like 1 out of 25 instead of 2 out of 3.
In the meantime, please:
- Award xp, gold, and challenge progress to players upon choosing to Exit to the Main Menu, as they often have no choice but to leave the match.
and/or
- Put in an option to suicide so we at least get credit for the progress other than the commander himself. It could be as simple as a damage font in the back of the map- the opposite of the healing font but per person so a random can't kill other party members.
and/or
- Remove his overly long and drawn out death animation if that has anything to do with it. (or even if it doesn't. just saying.)
