So...I just used fast travel to one of VR upper floors, which landed me in front  of a trio: Orlesian man and woman and Ferelden man. Immediately the Orlesian man sort of screams and falls down which is accompanied by this dialogue:

woman: I think we just lost another Divine.

man: I think you are correct.

I think this one is the most bizarre encounter I've had yet.

What are yours most bizarre moment with  NPC and their conversions?

It was during my earliest visit to Val Royeaux, the road between the restaurant and the textile shop. I only stumbled upon this once, in my other PT I think I've missed the chance to trigger this.

Something like;

Woman: *talks about something*

Man: *also talks about something shocking*

Random Duke : *passes out fashionably*

And yes, the Duke actually passed out, I saw him lying on the ground. The sound he made while he passes out is hilarious. I'll try to reproduce this again later.

VR is good for random deaths and fainting spells. I assume it's fashionable to faint, being frail nobility and all.

I do recall seeing a group of three people, with one of the males suddenly fainting. My sound was on low, so I didn't quite catch everything they said. However, because it happened near that central area where they seem to put on plays and whatnot, I actually thought they were actors practicing for a performance at the time. It was quite amusing at the time, regardless.

I thought the same. I saw that fainting man a few times, and at first the woman said that he was really bad at it, but at his second or third attempt she admitted that he was convincing.

I'm starting to think that perhaps the trio might have different dialogue depending on where it's triggered....or that the Divine bit is part of the play they rehearsing.

I think that's just a rehearsed faint. Just more Orlesian silliness.

Havn't encountered any deaths/faintings, but once in VR I was watching/listening to an ambieant NPC conversation between a man and woman, Odd thing was, that their voices were switched. So when the woman talked, the man's lips moved, and visa versa.

Well done Bioware lol

I was under the impression he was practising dramatic faints for use at parties, and the line something like "you'd think we'd lost another Divine" was a remark about how (overly?-)dramatic it was.

I've seen that - the lady comments he could have fallen better. :D I really wish there was a dialogue log for these moments...

The strangest thing I can remember is the shopkeeper in Val Royeaux whose entire store is devoted to selling a single, outrageously  overpriced mystery item.  That exchange was surreal enough to get my vote.  I was tempted to buy that item, but I only noticed him on a secondary character that I was messing around with, and that one never made enough gold to afford it.

I don't like spending money in games (it's weird, like real life. :P) so I had enough and I bought it to see what it was and reloaded my save after so I still had the money, you want to know?

Skyhold, the guy telling the dwarf he's glad he's not 'one of them' and the dwarf just starts labelling off random groups (carta, mages, assassins, templars), and the guy goes 'no... elves' and the dwarf is basically like '100% done with racist bullshit here'.

Somehow playing as an elven Inquisitor made it better because I was like 'dude... I'm right here."

I like how that guy is saddened by your purchase, lamenting how he's now wealthy, but undone.

I had one outside of Haven after I recruited Iron Bull. Two Chantry sisters were talking outside the Chantry about him, and that the one sister noticed the other sister "walking funny" and "came back late" from Iron bull's tent. She replied with something like " I wanted to thank him for helping us (or something like that) and I thanked him 'multiple times'. And it was a very 'grateful night'."

And the other sister giggled and said "You're terrible".
