Gear or Consumable Equipments?

Not bringing any gear whatsoever is stupid, yes. I don't really mind people not equipping consumable equipment(s) though. I normally just sneered or saying "geezz what a cheapskate" but 9 out of 10 I always press Ready regardless.

Note that the above was for Bronze/Silver/Gold. Platinum is a different case altogether. Yes, I will vote kick anyone not equipping equipment(s) on Platinum because that's just crossing the line.

Isn't it amazing that people would be cheap even with virtual currency?  That's the most stupifying thought.

I bet if we created a game called "virtual restaurant", there would be one person trying tipping less than 15% virtual bucks, and or timing their bathroom break with when the bill comes.

... now the greater question is.... who on this forum do you suspect to be THAT guy? :)

To be fair, tipping is a dumb practice. Restaurant owners should pay their servers a decent wage and stop expecting us to do it for them.

I don't kick anymore. I can carry the game if I really need to. If they don't pull their weight then I'll just leave after the match and find another lobby.

I'm too lazy to kick .. especially if i'm finally in a UU lobby

Confession time: over the past year, at least 1/4 to 1/3 of all the Gold matches I have played, I have not had any consumables equipped (from starting many accounts). I always use whatever in game stuff I can for mission success though.

So thanks to all those people for not kicking my Predator IV toting human adept

The empolyer would have to pay more taxes after each employee, which would result in higher food prices, and you would end up up paying the same amount, except you wouldn't have a choice how many percent more.

I realize that higher employee wages means higher prices for the customers. It really doesn't matter to me. There are a few things restaurants can do to mitigate their costs from spending less on lettuce (seriously, most meals only appear larger because there's so much lettuce) all the way up to just not using waiters. When I go into a restaurant, getting food and borrowing a table is all I'm concerned about. I already return to the counter to get my food at a fast food place, so I don't mind doing it anywhere else either. It's just bothersome that this is the only occupation we're expected to tip - and not just expected; we're practically forced to. And besides, I've tipped some other service providers who did exceptional work for me, but I've never had a single waiter whose service was anything more than just what was expected of them.

Anyway, I'm derailing this guy's thread at this point. If you want to continue to discuss the practice of tipping, send me a message, I guess.

It's not the only one.  Most states have a list of "tipped jobs" where the employer is allowed to pay as low as $2.00/hour, and while the list varies from state to state, it typically includes things like taxi drivers, bartenders, golf caddies, barbers, etc.  Those jobs have it even worse because a lot of customers don't realize they're supposed to be tipped.

But really, in most of the world a tip is supposed to be something extra for service that went above and beyond.  For some reason in North America it's become "you didn't spill my soup and you've got tig ol' bitties so here's some extra change so you can feed your kids tomorrow."

Edit: ... how did we get so far off-topic, and why am I making it worse.

No you did not.  Let's get back on track.  Should we votekick waiters who force us to tip?

Then make the government tax them less. :P

The only ones I kick are vocally abusive, rude or griefing players. And that happens like twice in year. Anything else, I don´t mind. If I have problem with lobby, I leave before/after game.

Derailing back to topic  :P

I'm only vote kicking obvious leeches in gold and platinum, you know the morons that don't even bother to equip gear, if I get to play with someone terrible I leave the lobby instead after the game.

Totally ok as I see it to vote kick people that don't even put in a minimum effort.

i pug platinum and kick in 3 cases:

1. no consumables (cheap scrub)

2. using rares that arent lvl 10 (imo opinion not enough time invested to play platinum)

3. piercing/headshot mods on projectile weapons (apparently has no idea what he/her is doing)

and sometimes when i see acolyte flamers or inc reegar AIUs  :D

this game has changed me.... hehe

I won't be that harsh, though I think "by not equipping any consumables, you have forfeited all the rights to be revived by me".

I don't care anymore. I've played enough games with leachers and newbies that it doesn't phase me. Having maxed my manifest helps so I'm not playing for the grind. I play for fun and variables such as the no gear newb make for some awesome matches.

Though to each their own. If you kick them I will carry them.

I don't mind pugs without gear at all. Usually, I consider it a challenge and sometimes such games can be more fun than the 15>20 minute speedruns with OP players. (Of course, it's not that I would mind them either. ;)) What's important to me is if the players try their best and somehow contribute, do objectives, revive etc. If I see a lobby with more than one gearless pug and feel like playing such a game, I equip an OP kit and try my best to carry them to glory.  :) Yes, it takes longer. Doesn't mean it's less fun, at least for me.

Agreed.  :)

I kick for a lot of different reasons generally with zero rational basis at all. My brain has a RNG kick vote function and friends are not exempt.

I don't usually kick...even if these guys come into the lobby naked and he makes the 4th teammate and if i see a "kick" on him i will send a message saying "don't kick, we can carry him"....sometimes i'm just ready to get going instead of trying to wait for a guy that is halfway decent....if the other 2 teammates are capable, f**k it...throw that newbie in the stroller and lets get rollin'....

Do as U feel OP.

I hope i ll bump into u at one point !

OT : i dont really care, if someone is not gearing up, he must want to try something or leach, in which case i should be able to handle 2 of them, revive might be forgotten though
