People who kick have no confidence in their ability to clutch and are probably playing a difficulty they aren't completely ready for. Once my manifest and skill improved I stopped kicking. Only exception is platinum even then if I have 1 friend with me I'll let them play. These days just having a full lobby is a blessing.
Do you agree with my votekick policy? (for GOLD+ pugs)

While my music tastes have become a LOT tamer then they were back when I was a teen I still love metal. But I only really listen to certain types of metal. I just hate when they do not sing and they do all the stupid growling stuff. The metal I grew up with was Megadeth, Metallica, Slayer, and Anthrax. The big four. Rust in Peace and ....And justice for all are still two of my favorite albums ever, the only new metal I listen to is The Sword.
On topic. Kick em All. get it?????????

Don't really bother kicking unless it's on plat, tbh.
I make a habit of checking each person's kit when in the lobby. If they have good weapons and equipment and are playing as a certain level character (depending on the difficulty), I'll let them stay. If they have an appropriately leveled character but poor weapons with decent equipment, I'll be willing to give them a chance, but I may switch up unless there's an appropriately set up player in the lobby as well. If they're using a low-level character with low-tier weaponry and no equipment, I'll check out the setups the others are using and if they're using appropriately set up kits, I won't bother with a kick. If everyone's set up poorly, I'll just leave the lobby. If they have good weapons and are using a good kit but don't have equipment, I'll either say something to them about it or just grin and bear it.
I've actually been kicking people more often on DA MP, tbh. Mostly people who bum-rush, hosts whenever the key glitch happens or the Red Templar Commander doesn't count as being dead, or those who just refuse to ready up. Really wish they'd make so that if you have a full lobby, all you need is 3 people to ready up to start a match. I was so happy when that was added to ME3 MP.

So much this. I would add "suspected leechers," too.
I should have added people who don't help with objectives or bleed out on objective waves. I don't care if you're new, if you don't want to use consumbables, or if you're going to spend half of the game spectating, just so long as you help with the objective. You can even die and bleed out the moment the objective is over- just not sooner.
EDIT: ok, one more criteria- people doing annoying stuff over their mic (singing, arguing with their momma, breathing heavily, or otherwise being obnoxious)

Posté 06 février 2015 - 04:57
So my revised kick criteria-
1. suspected missile glitchers (seriously, **** these ****s).
2. people taking too ****** long to ready up
3. not helping on objectives
4. being annoying with the mic
If you don't do any of these, you're fine by me.

That's not true. I have no problem clutching and am comfortable on all difficulties, but as you can see above, there are some things that I just don't want to put up with (none of them being players that are new or without gear, I could honestly give a **** about that). This is a game, after all, and if you're doing stuff that annoys me, well... [ X ]

For what it's worth, almost all the gold games I play, I do using no equipment, only a gear bonus, and I'm usually the one carrying, not the one being carried. I use med-gel and rockets when necessary too.
Not everyone who forgoes equipment is credit leecher.

Yawn. Typicall answer from a wonnabe. Everybody around here has the confidence and the ability to clutch. But guess what? I don't want to clutch. Ding Ding Ding Ding Ding! Why should I clutch in a game designed for 4 people? It's the other way around. Cheap people who doesn't contribute at all to the game are playing a difficulty they aren't ready for at all. Even if I'm carrying the game, it's more fun when the pug's are at least trying. And that's what I've played a multiplayer for, to have fun with other people.
On topic, If I would still play the game I'd rather leave the lobby than place a kickvote. Depending on the situation, I maybe still place kickvotes.

There is no excuse to not use equipment. It will make the game go faster. More damage/more shields/faster shield recharge time = less ttk = faster game. And please, don't try to think it's something special to not use equipment and still carry the game. It's cheap people like you who are a bad example to pug's that would perform much better if they use their stuff. What are you gonna hoarding for, next ME game?

Why is there no excuse? That makes no sense. I play just fine without it, and games still go in 20-25 minutes. What difference does it make?

Not sure if trolling or just ...
I've explained it. Simple math. And while we're on it, why do you use a gear bonus? Why do all cheap players insist beeing godly without consumable equipment but always stress that they use a gear bonus?

Posté 06 février 2015 - 05:29
Its usually sort of a sign of good faith to at least throw on a level 1 weapon amp or ammo or something- particularly since there's literally no reason not to - and I can at least understand people kicking players without any gear from their lobbies. But if its your own lobby its pretty silly to suggest that you can't do what you please, including play without consumables. If you have a problem with a host not equipping consumables, go start your own lobby.

I'm not trolling, I really don't understand why it should matter to anyone whether I use equipment or not if I'm doing just fine without it. And gear bonus is just easy. You apply it and it's there until you change it. No fuss.

Its nowhere near as big a deal to me as it is to others, but it comes down to the fact that there's really no reason not to- you have 255 cryo amp 1's (or phasic, or disruptor- there is always an ammo type and/or weapon amp that you have hundreds of), and weapon amps/ammo types/armor gear never hurt your damage output/survivability/etc (and thus the success of the game) so there's just no real reason not to at least use up some of those stupid shield power cells, level 1 AR amps, or Cryo Rounds. But then, not doing so is usually just sort of suspicious- usually this suggests the player is ambivalent about how smooth/fast the game's going to go, so even if a player happens to be really good its just a sign of good faith to the other people in the lobby.

I guess I just don't get this 'sign of good faith' mentality people on here evidently have. I don't need the equipment, but I should just equip it anyway, because...reasons?
I only use equipment when I have a specific reason to, such as using cryo ammo with my human soldier. Otherwise I don't bother, because, once again, why should I?

It doesn't bother me if folks don't equip...for the most part when i do see folks that don't equip anything...it's either they are kits just starting out or they are experienced guys with a kit setup that is capable, which from what i've seen mostly is krogans, Juggy's and geth infilt/fury kits. Me personally i have to have a gear bonus equipped and at least some type of ammo power. Most of the time when i pug i will just throw on disrutper 2 ammo/juggernaut shield and search for a game.
For the most part an ammo power will at least stop enemies from shooting you or make them pause for a minute and i see that as a benefit and it helps increase the survival rate of the squad.

Unless you have some serious case of OCD, ther's no reason not to throw on consumables, even if they are just level I-II. Shows commitment to the game. And seriously, what are you gonna do with all that precious 255 cryo and explosive ammo? (I'm assuming if you've been hoarding since the beginning, you have 255 of everything, do you feel accomplished now? Serious question, not trying to be an ass, just curious.

From your N7HQ, Spectre Mastery, your average score is less than 60k per game (5647900 pts / 965 waves). Stop spreading lies.

I do have 255 of most things, but that's just a byproduct of buying packs to restock consumables. But really I just don't feel this obligatory need to put on equipment. Like I said, I'll put it on if it specifically compliments a character I'm using or some type of strategy that I'm wanting to do, but just being expected to put on equipment completely arbitrarily simply doesn't make sense to me.

There are plenty of silver waves in there too. A flat average doesn't mean anything.
