Bah! Disney villains haven't been singing about their dastardly scheming since the 90's.

Wait, I guess Prince Hans counts. F*** that guy, man.

True that guy from the princess and the frog only sang about his friends on the other side, of course he was planning to sacrifice the souls of everyone in new Orleans to them but that's besides the point I guess. Still it is the same studio that brought us judge Frodo, Maleficent(the original 1959 version), and the Horned King amongst other villains. They certainly could whip up some dark villains.

DAI isn't like ME3

My Inquisitor didn't walk into an explosion to destroy all demons and just happen to kill all elves in the process (because reasons)

The idea of what adding ME3-type endings to DA might mean is ...unpleasant to consider. Enter the Black City and become a god? Tear down the Veil, and everyone joins with a spirit, with the unlucky 50% all becoming abominations? Destroy all magic, handing the world to the qunari?

off topic question: why spirits would want to posess someone if the Veil doesn't exist?

It wouldn't be an ME3-type ending without at least one thing that makes no sense, would it?

I understand what the OP is talking about however as someone mentioned, it's more of a Bioware thing than a ME thing. You either buy into bioware games knowing what your going to get and just wanting more or you don't. I personally want the same staple diet of hero, party, bad guy, romance, different classes and replay value.

The problem I find is that it's the old Bioware that I miss not this new EA version so all of the above is tainted and not what it used to be.

Did I enjoy DAI? The honest answer is I'm not sure and after 150 hours of playing according to origin, I'm still not sure.

Well, in contrast to Mass Effect the stories in Dragon Age make at least some sense, and even have an ending without a huge middle-finger into MY FACE!

So...no....very different games. Dragon Age has yet to be tarnished by absolute stupidity plotwise ... let's see how far they go with Solas and that whole Elvhen stuff that doesn't thrill me that much ^^

So after much begging from my dear OP I started playing ME3. And I have to disagree... ME3 is not and will never be Inquisition.

I can rush to aliens and PUNCH THEM. ME3 is already better than Inquisition and I only played like what? One hour?

I'm considering giving this shooter a go. I can actually build my character, unlike Inquisition. Also amazing comic to make your decisions from past games.

ME3 > Inquisition as a Dragon Age game. Feels a lot more like Thedas, more dark and grim, not this fairies garden that is Inquisition.

Now let me punch more aliens. I feel like a super saiyan!

Too bad Shepard isn't nearly as free in terms of expression. The irony of character building.

I've always said it plays like ME and the storyline reminds me of Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning. I like both. I like DA:I.

Expression isn't that important if you can build your character. Building > a lot of things > Expression > Everything else > Having actual fun with the gameplay
Inquisition manages to suck on all

I don't like Mass Effect, I don't play shooters (except in this case to troll DAI, but is a very special case), but KoA is very Inquisition, yes.

And ME3 had a good ending also. After adding one or two mods, of course.

You really have nothing better to do than play a game you're not sure you like? For 150 hours? I've heard of this sort of thing, but I don't really understand it.

While this isn't the worst anti-DAI argument ever, it's in the running for the worst pro-ME argument ever.

To put it more accurately, expression isn't that important to you. To me, it's one of the most important parts of the game, and player control over the protagonists' personalities in Dragon Age is superior to that of Shepard's.
