Decided to give it a go and considering it seems to be a cult favorite on the BSN I thought where better to ask for advice? So yeah initially had some problems with memory issues and for some reason the game could not find steam, managed to fix those problems but now while the game actually starts it looks like dirt as if the textures and writing is more blurry than it should be, couple that with the fact that after the guy gives his big speech about what to do with you the game just treats me to a lovely view of an open doorway and does not move past that point, anyone know how to fix these issues? Are there any mods I should be using?

Also provided I actually do get it working anyone able to recommend a race?

FAMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM.

Lets do this.

Mods and Patches

Patch( Wesp Patch)

-If you are looking for a challenge camarilla edition

-get some skins from ModDB

-get a weapon pack from ModDB

-get a texture pack from ModDB

xnw3DeW.jpg

High resolution mods and wesp was even playing with 4k resolution.

Gameplay

-Don't play as malkavian first, it is spoiler central.

-Haggle is useless

-Fists are only beneficial for one part of the stage or as a brujah build(frenzy)

-Play as venture for maximum dominate options

-Play nosferatu for a more staying in the dark type of playthrough

-do all missions before you leave santa monica

-Ocean Hotel is probably one of the prolific horror stages in rpg history.

-Celerity + guns for an ountouchable build

-Potency works great on brujah.

Don't play venture without this mod http://www.nexusmods...dlines/mods/6/?

Current venture disciplines are lackluster-Brujah is the most bland

-Gangrel suffers from this but it was supposed to have more content.

Also, don't open it.

****.

-Fortitude is basically a cheat. A five star rating with armor can make you unbeatable.

-Do a lot of side quests

-Make use of your disciplines a lot

-The dialogue is written in such a way that you can play a vast array of characters

-Put points in intelligence, it allows you to use tokens and read up on books

-Fighting against sabat requires blades rather than bullets.

-Intimidate didn't have enough opportunities

-seductions works more if you are playing a female character

-You can do a bullet time playthrough with 5 levels celerity and high level guns

-There is an enemy which peope believe can't be killed but actually can be killed quite easily.

-Stealth mechanic needs work without obsufacate, steal mechanic is glorious with obsufucate.

-  I haven't seen a level 10 hacking computer in the game so far( i have played it so many times)

-I created a mod to make intelligence influence hacking rather than wit, just made more sense and that is how it is done P&P

-Clan mod is utter ****.

LOL. Knew this was coming. Level 5 Celerity is like being in the Matrix. There, I contributing something to this thread.

So what does Humanity do? And why should I strive to keep it high?

Humanity basically keeps you from Frenzy'ing. Frenzy is kind of a double edged sword cause your damage output goes up a fair bit but you also lose direct control of your character (so you'll auto attack everything around you which will lead to masquerade violations and unnecessary combat with police more often than not).

And your dialogue options will change if your humanity gets low. You'll get closer the the "beast" inside you, so you'll sound more like a simple-minded, bloodthirsty brute.

^I wouldn't download the texture packs for environments listed there. I did and really regretted it, because it completely changed the atmosphere of the city areas. It's supposed to look a bit grungy, and with those textures it all looks too new and shiny. Doesn't remain true to the original textures at all.

Well if you are looking for some mods to try out, I would recommend the Bloodlines: Antitribu Mod. It combines a lot of features from existing mods, as well as adds several new clans to play as, and (in later versions) will allow players to join the Sabbat.

Here's a feature video showcasing one of the new clans:

So what causes Frenzy, is it triggered or does it happen when you least expect it?

Taking damage can cause Frenzy.

Taking damage can trigger Frenzy, but it can happen a random times as well.

My favorite time was when I was trying to finish some of the Santa Monica quests and I hulked out in the middle of the hospital waiting room. Ah good times
