Am I the only one really disappointed in the change to the tactical camera with patch 1.04?

 

I relied heavily on being able to scroll through each party member while in tactical, to quickly assess their position and what they were dealing with during battle.

 

Now that they've removed the centering feature I have to roam the entire landscape to be able to find everyone.

 

It also makes combat a lot less visceral while utilizing tactical. I liked the balance before.

 

I have to admit, I played for about 10 minutes after the patch and put the game down.

Yes, we need a response from Bioware. How can I revert to the old behavior on PS4. I'm not spending time searching for my party members on screen.

How hard would it be to make this an option?

Or hold the up/down key to switch to characters point of view?

Or use R3?

Or use Right to focus on character?

I used the auto-centre feature to move the camera up ladders, and also to help me find characters during combat.

The lack of auto-centring has actually made the combat less user-friendly, I think.

As I said often in the PC UI related threads simply catering to some users does not necessarily mean improving the UI.

Auto-centering was the bane of my existence on PC, thank **** it's gone. There's got to be a switching button on consoles the way there is on PC.

On the other hand, now that it's manual, it will stay up ladders once moved there. That was my biggest frustration with ladders. It was always hard to give a move command to the next party member because the camera would zoom back down to ground level once they were selected.

PC.. mouse and keyboard...

Twice this weekend while playing, the tactical camera went crazy... Zoomed out.... went to third person.....Switching people, I could not control my character and could not close a rift until I zoomed all the way back out... After the battle, I fast saved and reloaded all was okay. Is this a software problem of a hardware (mouse) problem???
