I even liked DA2. The combat system, that is.
Anyway, I figured I'd throw some more pitchforks and torches at Bioware about making an Origins 2.
Cause I'm bloody pissed off about the MP demon commander nerf...

Either you want DA:O 2 or a Origins remake, which is it?
Who gives a ****? Anything is better than this garbage.
I want both..
The DC nerf sucks, I'd rather play Inquisition 2 than Origins 2 though! Origins is just too slow for me. No reason for a game you can pause during combat to be that slow when unpaused.

well like I said, I liked the DA2 combat, and I kind of like how they tried to keep it that way in Inquisition (but they failed). you have to admit origins got everything else perfect.
I would like to see a combination of Origins and DA2. But it's not going to ****** happen because it's not profitable enough for EA.
Da 2 combat is like playing Diablo 3 with a waffle ball bat
let me correct myself
DA2 real time strategy combat, not live action. I use the tac cam like a puppeteer, which is why I hate Inquisition story mode.

Naw, I think Inquisition did a lot of things better than Origins. Origins had a much better tactical camera, but that's the only thing I want back in Inquisition. I don't think Inquisition gameplay had anything in common with DA2 though. That game was a mess.
yeah you guys have a much, much different perspective because i play with tac cam constantly on like a RTS game.
i thought the combat in DA2 was really fun. Spraying a wave of ice in front of you, Aveline's insanely strong tanking abilities, I really enjoyed it a lot.
for me, Dragon Age is all about the combat, much less about anything else at all, though I do enjoy the lore. it's difficult for me to enjoy it without the combat, which is the case in Inquisition for me.
I appreciate DAO's consistent and well-paced story, but other than that, I prefer both DA2 and DAI over it in every way. Particularly because I found DAO's cast to be pretty unpleasant (I only use Alistair, Morrigan, and Zevran every time) and the combat to be a downright chore.
then why the **** did you play it? ugh. people like you are so moronic.
it's like you play a game that you KNOW you wont like, then complain to the developer about it.
jesus christ almighty...

Oh. Another one?
*Takes shot*
... and here I thought I'd be having a sober one today.

The irony is strong in this one...

It's the BSN, there is no such thing as a sober day.

LOL. Well... that confirms that the OP is indeed a troll.. unless of course, he lacks the capacity to realise his own hypocrisy... I mean, even I know when I'm being a hypocrite. ![]()
Aaaaand... point taken.
Da 2 combat is like playing Diablo 3 with a waffle ball bat
A what? Wiffle ball bat. Haha!!
I have to side with the OP, the combat in DA O was far better, the AI was smarter, the tactics worked better.. DA 2 was hideous but for me its combat really shined especially playing a Rogue.
DA I is an ok game i'm still playing it but... the combat really lets it down, the limited skills, limited tactics, bad camera... and that tactical thing.. I'd be singing DA I praises from the top of the hills if they had DA 2 combat in this..

Wait what? DA2 had far superior combat AI for both your party and the combatants. You had better control over your AI and what not. THIS GAME WAS A MESS for combat..
Otherwise, I was going to say to the op unfortunately not everyone thinks DAO was good. DAI was a disappointment and I am hardly the only one that can say that. But some will maintain it's the greatest game ever made by bioware. Bah.

The beauty of different opinions! ![]()
Anyway, I couldn't care less about AI, because I control every character manually using the tactical camera. So it doesn't make a difference to me whether the AI is good or bad. I never set any AI tactics up in any of the games.
This thread < all the other threads on this subject. Don't remake it

Nostalgia....It just ain't what it used to be ![]()

So when you tell your ranged units to stay out far, or HOLD, they actually don't ignore that command and stack on the tank thats about to eat a fire breath?
I've seen many threads, and in great volume that confirm the units do not save their commands issued. So you have to pause every 3 seconds to issue a direct command to get something done. That sounds a lot slower than DAO or DA2 combat
