Also how do you get the thing that neutralises Samson's armour? Is that through Cullen's side missions? (Somehow I seemed to have missed them on 2 pt's)

 

-Finish the red templar mission in Sarnia (it's in Emprise du Lion) that Cullen asks you to.

-Talk to Cullen again  (this is after he asks to talk to you in private after a War Table mission) and he'll say he pinpointed the location to Samson's hideout.

-Go to the world map, NOT the War Table and go to the templar's hideout.

-Explore the whole place and pick the three items after Cullen asks you to look around (your "radar" will glow, indicating the objects are nearby).

-Talk to Cullen again and he'll recommend you talk to Dagna. Talk to her and then to the Commander again.

-Dagna will handle a special rune to you. It should be enough to destroy his armour.

Due to all the Lyrium in the drinking water, half the cats in Thedas end up resistant to magic, but find themselves addicted to it. The other half are cats who's parents lyrium exposure caused them to born more magically inclined, thus explaining how a demon was able to possess the original Ser Pounce, mistaking him for a mage!

 

As for how this ties into Samson... I like to imagine that he figured this macrocosm out while watching alley cats fight in Kirkwall?

 

There was the more aggressive band of cats that were lead by a giant blonde moggy who looked constantly angry? While the other, weaker group were lead by a balding tom cat who had scratches up his arms, who's compatriots kept going rogue and trying to start a fight? Meanwhile, there was a dark haired, scruffy house cat that kept showing up and interfering, but held no particular allegiance to either group...?

How do you think Samson would react to hearing his tavern song for the first time?

 

 

"I’m flattered." he’d smirk, swirling the amber coloured liquid around his glass. "If I’d known I’d have had a ditty written after me I would have come here earlier, although I have to say the quality of the stiff stuff is reminding me why I didn’t."

His bravado is bullshit though.

He’d leave before the song ended, before the burning sensation of the eyes on the back of his head rivaled the one in his gut. Before the bones in his jaw began to crack under the strain. Before he could begin to really care.

“What do they know about broken hearts…,” he’d snarl, “what do they ****** know about me.”

I appreciated Samson's character, namely his love for his men, but was somewhat disappointed with the design of his armour.

After so much hype, it turned out to use the one of the ugliest designs in DA2.
