You can talk to Samson if he's alone in jail.
During his trial, make sure to pick the "shove him in a hole" answer.
Then go to the prison. He'll be in a faraway cell, in a section that lies behind a door.
Really? What does he say?

Always
The "noooooooo" that I shouted at my computer screen when I saw Samson walk over that hill with all his templars made my housemate come check on me. I wanted so much better for you, Samson.
UGH.
Really? What does he say?
You can ask him a few questions, about Cullen, Meredith, red lyrium, etc. I don't see it posted online, I can probably record it and put it up on YouTube tonight.

There's quite a bit of dialog with him. You can ask him about many things:
And you can ask as many times as you'd like. The original dialog wheel is always back there whenever you start a conversation with him. ![]()
About the withdrawal, he says that he knows "it's there", like something uncoiling in his gut.
I admit, naughty thoughts crossed my mind at that time...must be because I'd been reading too much smut fanfiction yesterday.

In regard to red Lyrium, we know it's a blight infected version of the regular stuff, could a ritual like the joining save those not too far gone I wonder? (I doubt Samson can be saved by this given the amount he's ingested.)
Maybe. The taint seems to travel through the blood. The Architect found a way to mix blood and to dillute it so that the harsher effects of the corruption stopped affecting the darkspawn's mind even further. It's a possibility to consider.
Always
Shame he squandered it.

If possible, could you do it for the other people you can imprison as well? I assume they might also have some unique dialogue -- though I also assume based on the post on the previous page that they have to be the only ones there to get it.
I'd also be interested in hearing banter they have with each other too.
Man why do the interesting things in Inquisition happen either off-screen or happen to be extremely buggy? ![]()
So... I may or may not have written a one shot set after Samson's trial in Skyhold, where he attempts suicide.
He also reminisces on the one time when Corypheus recruited him and what drove him to be a templar in the first place.
Just click on the image and you'll be automatically directed to it:
Am I the only one who wants to see Samson as a companion in the future?
I would take him everywhere, and would have done so in this game if allowed. Instead I have a warrior shaped hole in my party where Samson should be.

Spoiler
Same here, Samson is the kind of character I find more interesting, and I think he has much to do in future games.

Same here, on both accounts. I know it might just be a way to keep from problems should the writers decide one way or another, but it made me happy there's no way to outright kill Samson in game. Makes me hopeful we might see him again.

Well if you send him to Kirkwall, it's highly likely he'll be executed.

We are all backing that motion up, mate. ![]()
Samson could very well appear in an expansion or DLC. He knows about red lyrium and its properties. He knows where Corypheus' followers hide. Put two and two together and you could have the Inquisition having to hunt down red lyrium smugglers who are taking the stuff elsewhere and poisoning people with it.
He could confess Corypheus indeed had been smuggling the damn thing to Tevinter prior to his death. And then, point the Inquisitor to the known mining places and alert her against traps they might find there. Hell, he could even be a playable character, why not?
And thus, he'd feel like he had redeemed himself somehow, even if just a little, for having worked with the magister.
A nice, clean plot that can end in glorious battle, with the characters having to combat an infected dragon to the death or something. Awesome, huh? ![]()

Oh yes please. Although I would be perfectly ok with a role like Cullen's in DA:I. He was just a young templar with a crush on the female mage back in DA:O. And now we get this:
My obsession with this dude is bad enough as it is.
I wouldn't call it "bad". I like the results of your obsession ![]()
Ha thanks! It's a little over the top. I don't know what it is about this guy that has totally gotten under my skin.I wouldn't call it "bad". I like the results of your obsession

Nor do I....nor do I. His voice definitely adds to his character a lot (bless Gideon Emery)

Unfortunately I only have a save near the judgement for Samson (for scientific reasons which don't include recording video to turn into gifs or anything pssh...) and everyone else I've captured is out making something of their lives.

Both Leliana and Morrigan get murder-knifed at some point and are still kickin' around, I'm not too worried.
