My body is ready
oooo very nice Jo!
For those interested, here's the current state of the paint job on the Samson sculpt. Lots of weathering and details to do on the armour, and the face doesn't have much more than a base coat, but coming along.
*snip lovely statue*
It just gets better and better!
I love the detail - even got the knife on his belt and everything!
Just say it's the femquistior's daughter.
After he had a long, delicious session of [CENSORED] with her in one glorious night, 9 months ago.

Wait. It would actually have to be WAY more than 9 months, otherwise the kid would still be a f*** baby.
Woah! Where are the Samson fans?!
Was wondering that myself.
(writing Chapter 5 of NoRS, btw. I won't abandon them.
)
Anybody else who plays Heroes of Dragon Age see the image for Templar Samson?

Yes I did! I'll link an image later.
For those who are interested, I have some screenshots of The Shrine of Dumat, Samson's lair.
Spoilered because of the size.
Very nice Rannah!!
This image is the one of Samson from heroes of Dragon Age, he certainly scrubs up well.

So Samson, at least if we can extrapolate from the absence of evidence, would not have been bound like Calpernia. Is this because all the red lyrium running through him would somehow neutralize Mythal's control? Does the fact that red lyrium is tainted mean that Corypheus can exert direct mental control over red templars, like he does with Grey Wardens, and have that override Mythal?
I think that is definitely the case. Samson talks about Corypheus being able to delay his corruption, which means he has some control over the taint in all the Red Templars, he wouldn't need to bind them as they're already bound. Calpernia isn't. It's fairly clear that with Corypheus gone, Samson's corruption will continue (and maybe his fate will be tied to the fate of the HoF and a possible cure for the taint?) IDK.
I guess my question would be is how much does Corypheus know about Mythal and the fact she lived on in mortal form as Flemeth, unless someone told him (side eyes Solas). All the information on the well is that it the well except that the 'pool is a reminder of what was lost, to be walked by those who seek her favour' what would gaining the collective knowledge of ancient elves give to Corypheus otherwise? This is never really revealed, and I'm guessing as I said it's tied to Solas in some way.

Thank you!
Earlier I successfully alienated myself from Heroes of Dragon Age. But they made it: I have to hop on that train...again. For Samson ![]()
Concerning the corruption, this Red Lyrium thing is bugging me for a while now. Just how old can it be? In DA2 Varric says that the thaig in which they found the red lyrium statue is ancient, predates the First Blight.
And how much Corypheus is really know about it?
More dialog with Samson in prison (first bit): http://bit.ly/1IiUBs6
I don't know how that different dialog is triggered. From the tone of the conversation, I suppose it happens when the Inq. specializes in beling a templar, but I might be wrong. ![]()

"So you can make the world a better place." Such sarcasm, Samson!
Some of it sounds cut together strangely, especially the "So you do" beginning - which is his response to you ending the prison conversation. Great to hear more dialogue, though.
I saw a post on Tumblr about Templar Samson showing up on Heroes of Dragon Age, so bought a few hero packs, posted some images on my Tumblr:

Nice stache Samson!
Nice stache Samson!
The one common feature of all the Samsons: stubble. Is he one of those dudes that shaves every morning but he's got a 5 o'clock shadow by noon?
