Bugsie, can I be jealous?
Tbh I would gladly accept this at t his state - I have a crush on sketchy drawings
I know what you mean I love sketchy stuff too, it looks very classical and the kinds of classic poses you find in marble and such I love.

Thanks again, everyone: this has been so fun to do and it's great to show off the finished sculpt.
@Jo, fabulous! The detail in the piece is fantastic!
(And are you really doing Calpernia next? Cos that would be awesome!)
I am! I'm currently building the armature for her (aluminium wire, foil, and masking tape).
The hardest part has been finding references for her pose. I know what I want to do, but finding just the right images has been tricky. I think I've got what I need now, and I'm sketching up the rest.
Plus I had to think of a good reason to have her sitting down so she's a companion piece to the Samson sculpt, but Callie's not a sitter: I imagine her as the pacing sort, with lots of fervent energy.
Still, I like the idea I have and I'm excited with where this could go.
Have you ever noticed how giant his sword is? That red lyrium must be a monster stuff ![]()

He nearly killed Iron Bull (twice!) during my playthrough.

Fluffy bunnies ran the risk of killing Bull during my first playthrough. Of course, I had no idea what I was doing at that point ![]()

Wonder if it's the red lyrium that helps him whip that thing around like it's nothing? The Inquisitor and her gang got murdered so hard during that fight.

Is it just me, or is the model for his sword the red lyrium two-hander that Meredith used back in DA2?

I was thinking the same thing as well......Did Samson recover that weapon? Or was it crafted by Maddox?

I don't see how he could have recovered it. It went kaboom and melted Meredith. Though looking at the clip now, I'm 90% sure the swords share a model.
Ugh, that scene. She wasn't exactly a great human being, but what an awful way to die ![]()
"A sword of deepest corruption and conviction, it cannot be the red lyrium blade that drove Kirkwall’s Knight-Commander Meredith to madness. It cannot have been reborn in arcane energies somehow elven and Tevinter and Blight intertwined. And it cannot have inspired in the name of a magister who once entered heaven and would dare so again. One wonders what this sword cannot be next, in the hands of the Inquisitor, if s/he is not careful.”
Wish I could wield this puppy but so far, all of my warriors have sided with the Templars.

Oh. Is that the description of the sword in DA:I?
*shudders*
Trivia: the sword is called Certainty. Maybe Corypheus had it reforged? With magic, perhaps...?
Samson's sword is the one that Meredith wielded.
Corypheus reforged it and gave it to Samson.
It's all in the wiki. I don't have time to dig it out right now - but should have some time later.

Would it be cruel to say that I laughed when she died?

I think either the Red Lyrium inside Samson, or the Red Lyrium the sword made of causes to be lightweight enough.
As it can be wielded even by you or your companion, I'd vote for the 2nd option.
Btw, has anybody tried not to destroy Samson's armor before the fight? Is it harder to beat him, if he has the full support of his armor?

Way harder.
I did it with my warrior the first time without even knowing about Cullen's sidequests. Took about 6 tries to beat him on normal. Second time I was a different class (mage) and did Cullen's sidequests. Took me 2 tries. Again on normal.
Thanks, I might try someday if I feel the power and patience ![]()
