Who would you slap that armor onto? I tend to keep Blackwall in some Grey Warden armor just cause I think it makes him giggle. Cassandra might look bad ass in it, although she looks bad ass in everything.
Myself.

That lyrium shard is that embedded in his armour or is it actually coming out of his chest?
If it's embedded in his chest does the armour fold around it then?

I tend to think that it is growing out of him, that would be real fitting. But in that case, why is it growing only there, and not across his whole body? So I am not sure...

That shard right in the middle of his chest makes me think of Iron Man.

This lady made quite an interesting analysis of Samson's situation in Kirkwall and how the character is emblematic of the crisis that swept the city during the events of DA2:
I’ve always been fascinated by the Thedas archetype of the “Good Templar”: the honest, righteous warrior of God, who believes that mages are people, not monsters, in need of his or her protection.
Good Templars seem in fairly short supply in Kirkwall (like “Mages Who Don’t Use Blood Magic” and “Dwarves Who Won’t Try To Screw You”). They’re far outnumbered by zealots (Ruvena, Meredith), brutes (Karras, Mettin) and sadists (Varnell, Alrik). Even otherwise rational men and women in the Order argue that mages are subhuman cattle in need of corralling (Cullen, Wesley Vallen).
Yet, if you dig through the Codexes, this appears to be a relatively recent paradigm; as Thrask points out, things were different before Meredith came to power. Back then, he implies, the Templars were far more interested in protecting those who wanted their protection than in jailing those who didn’t.
What few sane Templars are left—Thrask, Emeric, Agatha—are becoming fewer and fewer by the day. Some die off, of course, while others suppress their ideals for the sake of convenience or orders. Those that don’t, I think, are forced out—much as Samson was.
Samson, the junkie ex-Templar from “Wayward Son”, is easy to forget once his role in that quest is complete. Although he remains outside Lowtown for the rest of the game, the player can choose to ignore him completely until he resurfaces in the penultimate quest, “Best Served Cold”.
Yet like so many other players in this drama, Samson is a complex tragedy unto himself, and if you overlook his story, I think you miss a crucial bit of context for the mage-Templar conflict to come. For if Anders represents the tragedy in progress, and Thrask the tragedy of what might have been, then Samson is the tragedy of what already happened, a story told in reverse about how Kirkwall ended up where it did. He is the very embodiment of how, to quote the Nexus Golem, “we were once more than we are”—and whether we can ever reclaim what we were again.
