My squad mates are running out of ammo, and thus their guns disappear from the wheel.
This is something new for ME, right?

I assume it's ammo because I noted a squad mates guns disappeared from the targeting wheel.
Maybe the squad member was down. I'll have to check again.

Squad members do not have limited ammo.
If a squad member is performing a blocking action no weapons will appear when you open the weapon wheel (i believe).
If one of a squad member's two weapons have disappeared from the weapon wheel, that may be a bug. Try saving and loading when you can to see if that fixes it.
