I so felt like Brian.
I so felt like Brian.
I did it in two of my three playthroughs. One was a dalish elf doing it for the laughs and pissing off the humans. The other was a human noble, that at one point really believed she was the chosen one.
My Qunari Inquisitor is doing the same thing and laughing up her sleeve the entire time. I only wish there was a, "the inquisitor is trolling you" answer option.
I'm doing a run-through now with a human noble who is shocked to be chosen, but accepts the matter entirely. The Make works in mysterious ways and all that.
At first, I/My PC(s) were ambivalent about it, but as the game progresses, I found myself getting delusioned to the point of outright hostility about this "Herald" stuff. The world is messed up enough to add another package from a woman long dead. It is I who made the choices in game & paid the price of it. No one else is responsible. For good or for bad.
As they say, "Lead me not into temptation, for I can find it myself well enough." ![]()
If you ask me if my inquisitor REALLY thinks that she is the herald of Andraste then my answer is no!
If you ask me what she claims to be when she is in front of other people, well, that's another subject.
According to the situation or to who is she speaking to she can claim to be or not to be the HoA. As an example, when I am talking to Dorian and he asks me if I truly think to be the HoA then I will say no. When I am in front of a large crew who needs hope than I just play the role. I like to tell people what they want to hear.
Do we really had a choice?
Seems like 90% of gamers aren't fond of religion in general. To each their own I guess...
There are people who aren't fond of the fictional religion of the Andrastian Chantry, but that isn't necessarily a reflection of their views on real world religions; it's simply that some of us morally disagree with what the Chantry of Andraste has done over the centuries, from what was done to the elves to the Chantry controlled Circles.
I'm honestly not certain why some people act as though you have to hate all religion in order to dislike the Chantry.
