Yeah, is there a reward for 20? I mean doing this on hardcore/insanity is just...so rough with how nasty those mechs are.
20 out of 20 cargo crates?

You get more credits.

You get paid per Crate... Easiest way to get 20/20 (repeatable) is to pull one before the counter starts (you can edge close and shoot him in the arm). Then, bust out the grenade launcher, fire 1 grenade at the closest Ymir, then lay waste to the farthest one with the Launcher. the first one will attack your group, while the far one will try to start blowing up crates. You should be able to grenade him to death before he gets one.

On insane there are two more that are to the left and right of your main view that need to be distracted/engaged also.

Best I could do is 10. I attempted the mission too early I guess, before I had good enough weapons/skill levels to take down the mechs faster.
I also made the mistake of wearing the Inferno Armor, which does not handle firefights well.
I miss the ability to change armor and weapons in game.
Nuke Gun ftw!!!

I had this weird bug for this section where I could only get the attention of one of the mechs at a time, if I kept on shooting the others they'd ignore me until the one aiming at me dies.
So I only managed 8, after many, many retries. Friggin' hard mission, this.

On Veteran I managed to get to 11 out of 20... after something like ten or twelve reloads (and deaths), I thought it was very frustrating after the second reload already, but I kept trying, until I reached that score, which I thought was nothing short of miraculous, especially considering that I only had two grenades left in my grenade launcher and that the saved game I kept for that part was right at the start of the mission. I couldn't have done any better lest ripping more hair off.

I've only done it once, got 19. Gotta use the nuke quick to blast 'em away.

One game out of 5. I got 19 out of 20.
Atre, more credits per box you are able to save.

I spent ages trying to get as many crates as possible on hardcore, then saw that you only get like 100 credits for each intact crate. There were tears.

Yeah, the only difference is a (slight) increase in how many credits you get. Pointless to try for 20 except for bragging rights.
Should be an achievement, really. This game needs more esoteric achievements. 80% of them you get just by beating the game, and most of the rest are "kill X enemies with Y ability" type things. The only one I really liked was Brawler.

In the words of the TF2 heavy 'IT'S NOT POSSIBLE!
I had 7 or 6 =/
If I could have a Heavy + Medic on my squad, I'd tell those mechs to CRY SOME MOAR!
This was maybe the third mission I played on my first playthrough (after getting Mordin and "Archangel", lol). My character was at a very low level and the only heavy weapon I had was the grenade launcher. I must have played it ten times before finally beating it, and I only got 7 crates. This was on Veteran. Very difficult mission. Next time I play it I'm going in with the Cain to get some payback.

Mission start, 1 second for weapon switch. 5 second countdown. Explosion....Victory
The M-920 definitely has it's uses.
TBH though i spend 90% of the game using the Blackstorm purely because it works kinda like a mini Caine. It uses far less ammo and you simply don't need all of the power of a 920 more than two or three times a game (putting two straight into the end boss is damn satisfying though).
