Hmmm, as someone who exclusively plays pug, let me just just say: We live in interesting times.
Hmm, to me it appears a lot will be solo'n routine to complete the individual challenge, then not giving an eff about the community challenge, as they will go back to perilous so they can speed level....
Last 2 days, since I started playing again, has taken forever to find parties, and only 5 pug's I was in actually completed. So I spent my whole time solo in routine, since that is all I got the equipment for to handle....
So, I'll be solo'n again later today.....as for the weekend....won't be here like always, as typical, BW thinks nobody works weekends....
Gotta remember, there are jobs out there that HAVE to be worked on weekends and that is our schedule.....
Have fun completing guys, as AGAIN, like every other WE, I won't be around after the first 8 hours of it.

You said it Shadoz. Archer speed/critical return build can walk thru Routine pretty easily. SO that where I spend my time.
Eventually I'll get a good bow and maybe try higher levels...but since I hate the other classes...probably not as I also don't have the time to waste leveling them all up for the stats.
So archer it is in routine and speed thru for levels....

1. pug routine with a Katari (he can't die on routine and kills routine mooks significantly faster due to CB)
2. rush ahead of your team and kill everything so your team can't die
3. pray they won't die to arcane horror and revenants.

While that is true, I think the gripe with the "no one is downed" criterion isn't undeserved. Most people hope the weekend events will encourage 1) more active participation and interest in the game, and 2) increased teamwork. Setting it up so that soloing achieves the goals faster is counterproductive to the second. (Assuming that's what the community goal means)
Easy enough to test it with one Routine solo as Arcane Warrior <insert your favorite character here>.

Running a bunch of lolThreatening yesterday and we were routinely (heh) getting Immortal for everyone. We even commented, 'Now that Gold Medals don't matter we're racking them up like crazy.'
I suspect we'll see many Ele's with barrier and Lego's tanking like a...tank. Dammit, I can't think of a decent simile.
Has bioware made any adjustments to routine i wonder? Last night while having the server problem I was forced to solo some matches. Characters were magic based around level 12. On threatening I made it to wave 4 I think and then one of those Rhinos showed up and steamrolled me to death. Then I played two easy matches thinking I could get to the last wave at least. I failed at about wave 3 both times. It seemed much harder to me than before. Perhaps it was just the classes I chose but the last few times I soloed routine it seemed not too terribly hard.

I am going to guess that after last weekend we are going to crush this challenge. It wouldn't surprise me if they made it overly easy to complete as a make up.

I have only really had them in perilous/threatening private games where everyone was reasonably levelled. but that gets kind of rare when everyone starts piggy-backing level 1 characters for quick promotion.

Another high level spamming routine solo/pug matches kind of challenge. I wish there are some kind of lvl/difficulity/class restrictions on these challenges which will make them truly engaging.

Yes technically these are synonyms and a simile would be a comparison to something that is LIKE the original thing, not SYNONYMOUS with it.
