I want to bring Kaiden to ME3 for once.  I have all ME2 achievements, so I will be playing on easiest difficulty. What class/loadout can steamroll the game in the least amount of time and with the least effort?

Soldier with Mattock. Warp Ammo as the bonus power

Heightened Adrenaline Rush, Concussive Blast, Commando, Heavy Warp Ammo

Take Jack, Miranda and Garrus for missions.

Miranda - Heavy Warp, Heavy Overload, Cerberus Leader,

Jack - Improved Shockwave, Pull Field, Primal Adept

Garrus - Heavy Overload, Concussive Blast, Turian Renegade

... or - if you're on PC - edit a save file in ME Save Editor and skip ME2 altogerher...

I am not comfortable using the save editor for such a large task. I will almost certainly miss some decisions and could quite possibly cause something buggy to happen. However, it might not be a bad idea to use it for upgrades and to remove shared cooldown. Does anyone know what the max upgrade level is?

I have no dlc in this one particular ME game, so no locust or mattock. How is the revenant compared to the mattock? I would suspect w/e class I pick should have reave for the aoe dmg and cc minimizing any need for cover (especially with no shields or armor right?) Unless of course guns just kill things THAT quickly.

Also, is throw/lift better than guns on say the IFF and horizon?

Personally, I think an Adept with Reave would go fastest. Singularity is an insta-kill vs Husks. For others, just blow them up with a Warp bomb. Get Miranda (later Thane) to Unstable Warp with 9 second cool down. Also, Area Reave is great for CC. You don't really even need cover.

In ME2 cap level is 30, if I remember correctly. And if you play on easiest difficulty, it doesn't really matter what weapons / class you use. It will also be a lot faster, if you want to just breeze through.

Personally, I like having someone (assuming Shep's not adept) with biotics on Horzion / IFF, if only for CC. Throw / shockwave helps with those pesky husks. And warp is always very useful against barriers.

Also, on lower difficulties, it only takes one shot from Cain, to get rid of a Praetorian.

There is not Lift, but Pull. Pull, Throw, Shockwave, Charge, Concussive Shot, and Singularity are all insta-kills vs Husks. Throw is very nice with its very short cool down.

steamroll through ME2?

Soldier

recruit Kasumi, Garrus, Grunt, Zaeed, Mordin and Jack. Miranda and Jacob will make 8 squadmates. That's all you need to finish the game

get the ship upgrades from Jacob and Garrus

After Horizon, pick 2 squadmates that you want to have loyal. Do those loyalty missions and no one elses. Since you have to have 5 missions completed to activated the collector ship mission, do the 2 loyalty missions you want done and do 3 missions from the firewalker dlc, if you have it.

After the Collector ship, do the IFF mission. You can if you like activate the geth. Do the rest of the firewalker dlc which should trigger the collectors boarding the Normandy

Go through the realy. Someone will die becasue no shield upgrade. Make sure it's not one of the 2 that are loyal

During the suicide mission, have both loyal squadmates fight the terminator that way they will live and Shepard lives. Or have one of the loyal's escort the crew back and the other fight the terminator

there you go.

I recently did ME2 with 4 loyalty missions completed and the Arrival dlc completed in just under 7 hours. With what I posted above and depending how quickly you move through the game, ME2 could be completed before the sun sets today

I wasnt looking for a speedrun route, but thank you for the response. I will want everyone alive and such since the purpose is to import. I do not have the Kasumi dlc either, so that is out.

ComfortablyNumb: I was asking what the max upgrade level (like from research projects) for save editing purposes. Is that what you answered? Because I think you meant max player level is 30.

In the default game with no DLC, weapons and tech/biotic/shield upgrades all go to 5/5. But the DLC let you get to 6/6 and even 7/7 for Assault Rifle. I doubt it is just the DLC that allows this. There might be some way to use the editor to upgrade to beyond 6/6 or 7/7, but I don't think that is really necessary. 5/5 should be adequate.

I often find Vanguard get's me through pretty fast but then I can do ME3 pretty fast with that class too especially with the Biotic charge. It's my least favourite class as I generally prefer to keep my enemies at range. But it does make it pretty easy to get through the game quick if you time the charges right.

I do like playing Vanguard as I enjoy playing with all  6 classes

it's just my least favourite of them.

Sentinel with Assault Armor is the survivalist. But I don't think you're looking for that.

Use Annihilation Field with Warp and Throw on your Adept.

Casual gameplay Engineer with Shotgun and Warp ammo. Engineer gets 25% Research bonus on minerals for all your upgrades. If you are also importing a Mass Effect 1 level 60 file, you will spend hardly any time doing mineral scanning. Because it is Casual, you wouldn't really need to upgrade biotics further than the free upgrades you get in the story.

Shotgun as the bonus gun will make your killing as fast as any Soldier and you will also have Incineration Blast and Area Overload for crowds. Warp ammo takes care of Barriers. Or take Reave if you want, but then you would need to upgrade biotics.

Let me put it this way. I LOVED ME1. ME2 made me almost not want to finish the series, but I gave ME3 a shot and enjoyed it very much.

Back on topic, I had no idea about the engineer resource bunus. That sounds like it could be useful, but I could always just cheat engine that if I feel like being a total cheater.

I feel like I will probably go vanguard since the capn is never wrong... srsly
