How does the game identify Hawke's personality if there is there is no save game import?

I made a Diplomatic and Humourus Hawke and each time..she was angry like hell . Dunno if it take any effect from the Keep...

Every version of Hawke is aggressive when comes to blood magic and the truth about the Divines death if thats what you mean

FYI for those who haven't discovered what Hawke's personality effects in DAI; it determines what the story is that Varric tells about Hawke after you come back from the fade - if Hawke dies for sure, I don't remember if he tells one if Hawke lives.
