This is a thread to show some support for not only the pirates of Thedas but probably the greatest naval force that Thedas has. We have had alot of proper warrior and mage focus in the series with rogues kinda feeling the oddman out. Templar and Circle Mage storylines all fit well for warriors and mages and sure rogues can fit in to with some thought but rogue is not the 1st thing you think when you think of Templar, Circle Mage, and argubably Grey Wardens while they have many rogues in the ranks besides archers its not that seen in the series outside of named NPCs. With all the talk of a DA4 up North I can only hope that the next group we be apart of if we go that route is the Raiders of the Walking Sea. A Raider can be of any class or race because they are pirates and each ship has its own rules. How cool would it be to have our own ship and customize it like a mobile Skyhold. Raiders have that thrill and sense of adventure and with Dragon Age Series becoming slightly more open world why not play as a Raider Captain and explore the north. The Raiders are not just common pirates though, when a threat is big enough these various ships come under one banner and with there skills in stealth and trickey bring a tact to the naval battlefield that even the Qunari Dreadnoughts could not defeat them. If a future Qunari Invasion is near I can see The Raiders once again working together to stop the threat. Isabela is a rumored Admirel now also. Raiders are the most freelanced of all the groups and are not bown to any crown so when it comes to taking sides who better to be. Since cannons are only with the Qunari currently the chances to choose what type of defenses are ship has would be interesting, there is archers, mages, and dwarven bombs. Maybe even have some main mission be somewhat like the mass effect 2 suicide mission where if we dont upgrade the ship properly or have the right companions in the right stations they die. As a Raider Captain the biggest perk is more then any game you have to be close to your companions because they are part of your crew they trust level has to be on another level. And Raiders are not just bound to the sea I am not asking for naval fights besides cutscenes maybe. We see Raiders have been to coastal places such as The Storm Coast, Crestwood, and of course Kirkwall that we have seen. But besides my fantasy of DA:4 this thread is mainly to show some love to the Raiders, sometimes pirates who are a burden to Thedas and sometimes the unexpected hero who has helped thedas against the qunari threat. So lets show these rogues some love and not have them be the blacksheep for once.
