I'm more certain that Isabela being an 'admiral' just means she has a really big hat, like Varric suggests.

Or selling slaves and raiding harbour towns. Remember, we can be bad people in dragon age.
Would love, love, love a DA4 set in the north where you are an independent pirate (at least at first). Make it more about exploring the part of that world, stumbling across plots, and less "Arr, you be the chosen one!".

I just like them because of Isabela.
I would love to see Isabela on the new engine. But they'd have to have a damn good reason as to why she's not with my Hawke. A reason that doesn't include "big ass fade spider" or "lulz sluts". I'd rather see her in DLC.
It's not the second one, because Isabela in DA2 and Hawke in DAI make it pretty clear that they're still together. She might still speak suggestively to everybody and flirt with everything that has a pulse, but she won't be sleeping around on Hawke.
Sadly, I think the DA2 expansion would have had a strong pirate focus, as E-S-T-Watch is a base for raiders and all indications are we would have gone there.
One more reason to keep Hawke around, to deal with the inevitable armarda of Angry Demon Pirates?

I don't think she would either. For all intents and purposes, they've known each other for about 9/10 years and have been romantically involved for about 6/7 of those years. That's pretty damn stable for anyone, let alone a pirate. The fact that they're apart on good and honest terms just signals to me that they have a healthy relationship.

True being a Raider can bring back that edgy evil hero the Warden had the choice to be. But Raiders can take it up a whole level. Walking that dak area of deciding to make money by selling slaves or raiding towns instead of freeing the slaves or saving the town. Even only choosing to help the towns people from whatever for a price. I remember at times Hawke had that money choice I can see that returning with the Raiders. As the captain we can choose the morals our crew and ships should follow. That can also cause interested conflict with companions that was really missed out on in Origins. Speaking of slaves and past DA2 companions I think Fenris could return also. Maybe the slave quest chain can be something he gives us. We know he is killing slavers maybe betraying him would cause conflict with him. So many choices when your a pirate.
If we would be able to recruit our companion crew members I would like to see it as the most random rag tag bunch. A Mortalitaisi mage because why wouldn't i want a necromancer on a pirate ship, Our own saarebas who chooses to follow us, A former chevalier probably exiled or something, a ash warrior with his own mabari, a rock-knocker dwarf, etc. just a crew of unique companions from different places with different cultures.
A group a cast aways become the best crew of thedus.
