I was very good with my geth juggernaut.  I didnt have a primary weapon, and used the acolyte to take down shield, then destroy with the blast. I was close to immortal because of the shield recharge. I had some good equipment too.  Fun times.

My most preferred character would have been a soldier with a maxed out harrier gun. I could only get level 4 harrier :(

I'm not saying Juggs was a bad or dysfunctional character by any stretch. What he did, he did well. The issue was that, as far as the metagame goes, his survivability was overkill and his kill power was not (at least, by comparison of the rest of the cast).

I still don't understand why people call for nerfs in a non PVP game. If you have been playing with AW's who run ahead and kill everything, find some different people to play with. Make some friends in lobbies and play with them.

Yes, the AW is powerful. Is it the GOD class you are trying to make it out to be? Not even close. There are lots of classes that when played correctly will out score AW's.
It just happens to be one of the easier classes to play effectively. So go out, keep gearing up and playing new classes, and don't worry about what the AW next to you is doing.

Here's an update on how the XBone community is doing on the challenge:

16278939568_81b1838d22_o.jpg

I'm posting this Weekend Challenge Update in the correct thread, right?

This was totally literally honest and for true my first PuG since this thread was made, because I had solo'd for my first 5 of 6 for the challenge. And I had joined the PuG as a level 9 Archer.

And it's totally not a brag post because I didn't come in first.

Although I was hanging back because I didn't want to be the one that died and cost anyone their Challenge, which I didn't, but the AW totally died twice. Just sayin' (for totally no reason.)

No archer on the game can match what the AW can do.

Oh, how did that quote get in here?

The reason people are disagreeing with you is because you're very, very wrong. Arcane Warrior is overpowered, yes, but not for his damage. He actually has some of the worst solo damage in the game. You go on to talk about how the Archer's damage doesn't stack up. The Archer is hands down one of the highest damage classes in the game--probably the best damage, actually, and the current Perilous speed record is a team of four Archers.

AW isn't OP because of his solo damage. He's overpowered for his insane durability, security, near gear independence, and ridiculous team synergy on almost no Cooldown. And he gets this all at a stupidly low level. Basically, playing AW lets you punch above your weight class if you're not really a Perilious player...but he's much less good once you're actually at that level. Archer, on the other hand, is probably a better class (for what little that's worth) if you're playing where you're supposed to be.

That's why people are disagreeing with you. Because you make a big to do over something everyone knew months ago...and yet reveal how little you know about the game with every other sentence and that you're probably a pretty raw beginner. All the while declaring anyone who disagrees with your very green opinion must be a "noob".

I still don't understand why people call for nerfs in a non PVP game.

Because balancing things with only buffs would be stupid and make things imbalanced. Sometimes things need to be nerfed. And the similar "why balance a PvE game?" argument is also silly because if one, or a few things, are overpowered in a game, those are the only abilites/weapons you're going to be seeing and/or using, because why use something else that's much less effective? If you don't have variety, things are going to get old really fast.

I'm not necessarily agreeing with the OP's message of "OMG NERF AW!!@$!!11one" nor am I saying that nerfing is the only way to balance, but that's the reason for game balancing (buffs AND nerfs) in non pvp games.

If you do not like it, do not play it.

I rarely get an AW in my team. When I do, it is usually for the challenge weekends which I am fine with.

"Why balance a game without pve?" This sentiment is pretty bizarre to me. You'll never be able to reach the full multiplayer experience that was intended if 1/4 of the slots of every game are always filled with the same class. "How will we build this group around an arcane warrior" should not be a question people are asking. As the difficulty becomes greater, this problem will only grow, and the AW and another class with a barrier will become your best chance at surviving a match. The disparity of effectiveness between classes is too great at the moment.

I don't know... TGI's are great all-around at damage and survivability, but can be beat. I embarrassed my share of TGI's with Harriers using my humble N7 Paladin with a Hurricane. God I love my Paladin.

Then again, InvaderOne gave me a hell of a run for my money using a Kroguard with a Wraith... and by run, I mean he steamrolled my score. Keeping up with a tanky vanguard with a good shotgun in the hands of a skilled player using an engineer that excels at CQC is extremely difficult. And fun.

NOTE: I don't think that was your point... I just wanted to do a shameless plug about how much I love the Paladin.  B)

I liked the melee GI build... Kill a cluster of 4 phantoms with two quick AOE pulses.  Much fun.

There is no weakness to a proper arcane warrior build. This class can go out and solo an entire perilous match, and come in first place.  Players speed from zone to zone doing massives amounts of melee damage which perpetually powers their barrier effectively making them immortal.  These effects are increased even further with potions and various other equipment.

Now that the secret is out, everyone who wants to come in first and play ZERO team work will just build this character and use exclusively. Is this ok with the community or should Bioware make some adjustments?

The class is ridiculous OP. Yes I myself can solo perilous like its nothing with my arcane warrior. Templar commander, demon, venatori, doesn't matter I can solo any of them with ease.

It doesn't go all that slow either. I mean yes its slower than grouping obviously but the point is, this class is too ridiculously strong.

Please no nerf. I always, ALWAYS, die with my AW at least once in every game. Not sure why but it is true. Regardless of level or build or lag or anything else.

I really enjoyed playing the Paladin, but I preferred the CSMG on him.  I don't think I ever got that weapon past a level 3 or 4, but I used it a lot.  Worst part of moving to a PS4 is no ME3MP.

Yeah, my UR manifest ranged from III to IX, but most were around level V. I just got tired of getting nothing but level IV ammo out of PSPs.

I could not, cannot, and never will be able to play  TGI-Harrier or AIU-Reegar for some reason. But I can solo platinum with collector adept or gold with volus mercenary. Have not tried platinum solo with VM, too much hassle.

But every scrub wants to be a hero and a savior once in a while. Why take this opportunity away from people? Some do overindulge though. Alas, it is a small price to pay.

You're the one who's wrong. The AW does a crazy amount of damage on each melee swing.  My friend who has only been playing a week got a rare staff, and now he's doing 500 dmg per hit.  These are melee attacks so he's pulling off two of these hits before every archer shot, so you can say 1,000 dps.  Since he got that staff his barrier is constantly active.  He made a comment to me last night that perilous is now way too easy and he knows Bioware is going to adjust it.  I told him how I made this post on the forum because of the AW ridiculous skillset.

The fact that you didnt know the AW does a lot of damage shows your knowledge of the game.  All an AW needs is a medium rare staff of about 130dps, and you will dominate with little to no effort.  I'm actually witnessing this with my own eyes.
