I was playing Origins last night to look for some info, and I got into a battle. Man what a difference between that and Inquisition. I didn't have to cast any barriers, and I had more than 8 skills/spells to use, and tactical camera showed me everything, and the fights felt much more satisfying. And when I talked to people, I had like... 6 detailed responses each time. Man it was great!

I am still hopeful that one really good dlc will bring it up to where it should be gameplay wise. 2 specializations would be a step in the right direction.
I think that us disenchanted, disappointed players we just want more choices like we had before. I'm not really that dissatisfied as others but then again I didn t really have high expectations da 2 was not my style of game at all but I gave it a chance and enjoyed it in the end but it's not what I personally imagined the next game after origins would be or play like at all.

Sounds a bit like some of the BG fans here. In any event, congrats to Bioware for the award, good reviews, and increased sales.
My theory is that there are more people globally playing vidya so more sales are inevitable. Also more girrrrrrls playing since Origins. They took those untapped resources hence the inflated numbers of nominal fan base.
Not many girls playing MP now are there? Nope! They just play for Iron Bull scene and quit!
Haha I'm just kiddin' ladies but truth be told, there are a lot more females playing inquisition than there were Origins so who's to say the exact player to player ratio based on gender didn't make all the difference.

I think DA:I is for the most part a good game. It's main flaw is that the large semi-open world format they went to is a bit too large...and a lot of that space was filled with uninteresting side content.
The main story quests and the companion character content however is as interesting (and sometimes more so) than previous games.

They would be playing for Cullen. No one wants the sex goat.

I agree. The problem is that the story and the open world feel disconnected. It's like they tried to mount a Bioware plot on a Bethesda chassis and they don't fit together quite right.I think DA:I is for the most part a good game. This game was definitely a return to form for me. I'd thought that Bioware had been going downhill since BG2, with a few good things here and there (Origins and ME2). I wasn't even planning on buying Inquisition, I had officially "quit" Bioware games after ME3. Saw a trailer about 3 weeks before release and had a good feeling about Inquisition, so took a chance and bought it. Best game purchase decision I ever made.

What would that guy say otherwise after he won that award?
"Yo, thanks for this award, but this game is rife with issues that we won't resolve because if it was good enough to win your hearts, it is good enough to win the money in the pockets of people"
My whole theory is that the next DA game, if there is one, will be horrible because they have good ratings this time around for DA:I and yet still have a fanbase that wants more. They won't put in anything we want just like how EA Sports will not put in needed improvements until the next game comes around. Definitely reading our comments for ideas like a storage chest or duping...and that will definitely be featured in the next game whereas other features from this game that was borderline good will be removed.

Dude, everyone wants the sex goat. To quote the Jimquisition, deep down we're all Iron Bullsexual.
But then, I say that as a woman who's largely indifferent to Cullen. (I like him more in DAO than in previous games, but I'm still not prioritising his romance. I'll get around to it some time, I guess.)

Somebody let Wonderdope out of his cage
Mark, you're a funny guy. It's a good thing you can spin a story, otherwise DA:I would've gotten bad reviews...10/10 story?
