I'd rather they cut race selection from the game, i feel it dilutes the story to much, would love to play about in Tevinter though
Wouldn't it be cool if...?

That would be cool, but don't most of the Chasind or Avvar live in Ferelden? I don't see that as being very likely unless we get another game primarily set in Ferelden. Also, sadly, the developers wanted to do a barbarian origin for DA:O, but they scrapped it.
Well, I did exile an Avvar to Tevinter so if they didn't manage to get themselves killed over some stupid feud or something, there's something to build on.
I don't care if it's Tevinter, Nevarra, or Par Vollen/Seheron. I want it all sooner or later, whatever they start with. And especially I liked traveling different countries, so a mix would be great.
And I'd rather see the class restrictions go than the races. "You are a warrior, you cannot open a chest. And don't bother leveling up cunning, you would never learn it anyway". ![]()

Yeah, in addition to Tevinter, I think the next game should also have us visit Seheron, Par Vollen, and the Anderfels! There's something going on at Weisshaupt, apparently, so I won't be too surprised if we get to visit the Anderfels.

Yes, I think it would be nice if we have a choice to play as protagonist from Tevinter.

I actually love that idea myself. It would be nice to see what Tevinter and Par Vollen look like. If not them then maybe the Anderfels or the middle countries like Antiva, Nevarra, and Rivain. I was sad at the lack of origin stories in the last two games as well. as great as DA I was i would have though we'd have more to our PC's then a bunch of tabletop quests and text storyline.
But still DA I was great and i would love the next game to be in a different part of Thedas then we've already been in. Like if we're in the Free Marshes we actually get to run around the Free Marches and not be tied to one city and a few surrounding areas. Not to mention each of the Free Marches cities vary from each other in different ways.

I really don't see how that would make any difference. The protagonist's origin is never part of the plot or characterization in BioWare games.

I'd like the next game to centre around a slave rebellion in Tevinter.
Now I'm thinking Spartacus and therefore one of the origins should be gladiator.

Totally agree with the elf origin.
We got Dalish covered. Bring back the city elf and have them enjoy their day in the sun.
Yes. I want city elf back.

I'm sure the fact that the series just came out on Netflix has nothing to do with this.

To expand upon this for people who don't want to be Tevinter the game could still be set in Tevinter but with a PC who has recently found themselves on the wrong side of the slave trade
If they kept to having origins, the human could be a Tevinter noble who had owned slaves before, only to end up becoming one after losing their fortune and status due to various hijinks and shenanigans, either their fault or something outside their control?

As long as I can play a human rogue who isn't a noble, I don't care very much.
(Although, I'm another one who would like Avvar/Chasind/some sort of Barbarian. I don't care how. Just make it happen. And if I can't be one, I want one as a companion.)

I really think Bioware should add one as a companion next time around. That Sky Watcher guy was really interesting. They have such a different culture from other humans in Thedas. It would be great to learn more about them and actually get to know one.

There's a DLC coming. I'd hate to get my hopes up just to become frustrated afterwards, but it's a good opportunity to see more of Tevinter.
DA4 is supposedly going to explore Northern Thedas. And some DLCs have proven to show a preview of what's to come in the next games (take Legacy, for instance). Here's to hoping there''ll be a mission in Minrathous. ![]()

I'm not too into Tevinter. I'd rather have next game about Rivain, Antiva or Nevarra.
