Should we wait to buy game if we had trouble with crashing in the first?

I had a lot of trouble with crashing in the first game - mostly general protection faults.  At times I thought I found the solution only to find the problem present itself again.  ((Deleting the config file seemed to help, and messing with my RAM settings on my Bios also seemed to help so far - leading me to believe it's a memory hole or something unusual going on with memory allocation, yadda yadda, I don't know really))  As of now, it seems to be working well, but it's hard to tell and I never could find any official input on why these crashes were so prevalent.  Seemed like it was swept underneath the figurative bed.  I know it's a business and the Xbox version will flourish with or without PC customers, but some insight would be nice here.  I posted in the last forum about it and it was conveniently closed.  (One might say, what crashing in ME1?)   Image IPB

It would be nice to hear an update on the GPF issue and if it's resolved from a DEV or someone who can give an official word without getting sued or yelled at.  I think it's only fair the consumer should know if these issues are still prevalent to consider buying or waiting for a patch.

Thanks for the input from anyone who cares to help.

yes no point in buying an unplayable especially if you bought the CE and after 3 hrs finally got it to install just to get an error where your ceberus code is all ready in use...

I wish I hadn't bought it. I'm having major freezing and crashing issues.
