PC connection is ridiculous. And it cycles through the same 3-5 games for me. I'm sure there's more than 5 groups playing at a time.

Yeah, board is full of threads AW OP,but no one cares for shitty matchmaking system,so few people who still care about this game can actually play.

true this
It comes and goes. For me, worst time is from 10.30 to about midnight. Either before that or after that it is easier.
This region lock thing has to go.
I guess bulk of player base comes from North America, which has decent internet connection.
Edit.
It would be nice,if someone from USA/Canada invites me,so I could record little bit of gameplay.
For science ![]()
If you started playing at the time you posted, then it would be 6AM in mainland europe.
I very much doubt you will see a huge player pool at that time ![]()

It is true, but my point wasn't that.
I played before that with friend from South America on north american host without any lag whatsoever. I think in USA was like 22 PM depending on time zone.
Yea the matchmaking is a joke.
But I doubt it's region lock, engine restrictions more likely.

Im from US and the matchmaking still leaves something to be desired
I don't even count on Pugging anymore. Having to spend 40 minutes to find one Threatening lobby with one person and then that person leaves during Zone 2 tells everything one should know about what is to pug from a third world/unprivileged region. For me, a Public Matchmaking System in DAMP doesn't exist whatsoever. It is an illusion.
I don't even care much for Public Games anymore. All I want now is to be able to play with my friends. But even that I am being denied. I am just sick of getting Black Screened/Not being able to join my overseas friends when they have invited me to be there. And this is a factor that simply adds insult to injury.

Yeah it is really difficult trying to finding games.
I made this short video, little popularity comparison between ME3 and DAMP,so to say.
[YT][/YT]
Clearly ME3 had a much superior Matchmaking. Playing at 'odd hours' - a common excuse to DAMP's shortcomings - In ME3 is not applicable. At any give hour someone living somewhere in the world will accept you to their lobby with open arms. No damn Region-lock or whatever. ME3 Matchmaking treated everyone's fairly; regardless of where they live they have the same Matchmaking opportunity as everyone else.
And that is because ME3 is a shooter where lag may potentially be a killer factor and bullets may bend around corners. Whatever lag we can possibly find in DAMP is nowhere near as game breaking.
There is this lame excuse that under lag one will come across bugs (like the Narnia one) more often, which is arguably nonsense. I play outside my region 100% of the time and I don't see these bugs as often as some people who play from the same region does. I play with some European people, whom Bioware has put all sorts of hindrances not to let me play with, and not only bugs are a rarity on their hosts but the lag at times is minimal, even unnoticeable.
All in all, the Matchmaking, Region lock, Black Screen and all other Connectivity crap are proof of either Bioware's ineptitude or indifference when it comes to make a functional game.
