Talking with Morlanwen about dark music reminded me of this gorgeousest of pictures I stumbled upon in Facebook. This is the original source.
I'm definitely copying it on pencil ![]()

Alright this is Cullen fanart but it's been a while since I saw some story told powerfully without any words. And I LOVE the colour scripting of this one. Alright, this is quite impactful for me so guess that I'll share it here?

Wish that one day I can draw stories like this. Well, time for more practice!
That colour scripting... Whew. And how the story is told... It's weird to say this but tbh I feel this is much more impactful to me personally than a static painting...
Sometimes people do share interesting things on Facebook
There I discovered this amazing artist, Samantha French, and her incredible skill to paint underwater images:
Here is her amazing gallery online. These past few days have been hot as hell here in the Canary Islands, and I feel fresher just by looking at her paintings!
Wow that's an interesting use of colour!
To better get the feel of charcoal (and specifically of the ones I own) I intend to copy this beautiful B&W picture:
I also highly recommend Dark Beauty Magazine website; they have gorgeous images, on their Facebook page they only post photos, but there are also some illustrations on their web.
Wow! It looks so clean and realistic! ![]()
For our inking reference, I recommend Cassandra Calin's comics; they are gorgeous as well as very funny, you can see them on her tumblr here
She also has a YouTube channel; there are only four videos, but one of them is a nice simple tutorial to draw curly hair, and there are a couple speed drawings that are interesting for inking reference. She also lists the markers she uses, I think that's useful ![]()
