Ohh, this should be good :)

Not that I am really drawing anything, but when I try, I listen to this:

(I LOVE Faun <3)
or that:

or even this:
Waardruna - Fehu

ok, it is weird, but I love weird things ^_^

LUC ARBOGAST!!! He's a treasure, I watched his audition in The Voice & it's wow... I really want his CDs, too bad the first four of his albums are apparently only sold in Mandragore in Lyon.

One of my fave of him:

*edit: if I'm not mistaken, I saw him performing in a session with other Celtic musicians once in an Irish Pub in Nantes. I'm not sure it's him but he played the bouzouki & sings like that*. It was 2008 tho. I'm entering the pub & there they were, making music around a table filled with beers* Unforgettable sight.

And talking about celtic musics...

My boyfriend was part of a reenactment group (medieval) and saw him a lot on medieval fairs ( now, he is too old - his own words ^_^ - for that ... he can't swing a sword like when he was 30 years old :P )

Hehe so he does RP in Grandeur Nature style? (dunno what's it called in English). That's not surprising honestly, should've been a wandering Minstrel-Warrior

Oh, if you like Medieval and Celtic music, then you'd probably enjoy Mediaeval Baebes :)

I Am Eve is my favourite. The lyrics are just so empowering to women, imho :)

Oh, and then there is Loreena McKennit, of course:

Not really "grandeur nature" style. It really was a group who fight with real weapons (steel and all). They didn't really fight, it was more a "dance" with blades (he had a broken rib from a flail (fléau d'arme), a sword wound on the forehead, a broken hand with an axe etc ... I live with a warrior ^_^) If he ever do medieval fairs again, he will only be a calligrapher .. you can't get hurt with a pen ^^

I'd love to go to a medieval fair, but I doubt I could get my hubby to tag along. My friends would probably just give me a blank stare, and privately wonder whether I got bats in the belfry. Then again, I am not even sure there are enough ppl that would be interested in such an event where I live. A rodeo, though - every. f*****g. year.

Seriously, they're using real steel? Crazyyyyy! I've got friends who do that but they're using fiber glass & metallic paint. So it won't hurt people

There's a big gathering in Germany every year apparently. I never went for that one but I went for a small Medieval festival in Rhone-Alpes area (France) once and it was superb. Lots of minstrels but none sings as good as Luc Arbogast.

Talking about celtic musics... I only know the classics up to now, Bothy Band & Mat Molloy for most but Lunasa's also great. Carlos Nunez has a great repertoire of Galician, Irish & Breton musics.

IMO Bothy Band's still legendary tho. They're bringing Butterfly to the next level

I heard the first tune of this played once in a Fest Noz (traditional Breton dance) during Summer Music Festival in Bretagne (Brittany?) & there are dancers wearing traditional costumes who start showing everyone the steps then everyone just join in. That was fun.

I really like Medieval Baebes.. and Loreena .. haaa, Loreena, I love this woman, I love her songs even if i can't understand them all ;)
This one is my favourite :

Loreena Mc Kennitt - Lullaby

I like this kind too:

John Murphy - Adagio in d minor

And of course, when it is not too late, and I am just looking a blank page i like this one :

Two steps from Hell - Protectors of the Earth

@Cerulione: yes real swords ^^ Just imagine the expression of doctors at the hospital when boyfriend took the sword on his forehead: a guy, streaming with blood, wearing a chainmail and saying that: 'it is just a sword wound !!' :P

Since you like Mediaeval Baebes, have you ever heard of Miranda sex garden? It was also started by Katharine Blake back in the way early 90's.

Something a bit off topic, but I really like the lyrics :

(yup, I went to see the first one in 1977 at the age of 5 with my mom)

Speaking of medieval fairs ...

Some of the songs I had in my playlist while working on my latest Cullen portrait. Because it was supposed to be a 30 min challenge, I had club music going in the background :)

Awww that's so cute

...or not, purple minions are evil

Minions rule! TBH I watched the movie just for the minions, turns out that it was really funny ;)

My BF's little sis can sing the whole banana song, and apparently she wants me to sing a duo for BF's birthday party on this song... I'll have to find a translation first

Celtic music lovers here, yay! I already know Medieval Baebes, Faun and Lunasad; I'll give a chance to Loreena McKennitt, don't know why listening to her never crossed my mind.

Well, I think we'll just make everyone passed out. Both our singing voice sucks...

That is usually fixed with alcohol; not your voice, but the perception you have of it :D So French wine and let's banana song!

What I listen to while drawing depends on my previous mood; I need to feel relaxed while drawing, so I listen to relaxing music if I'm feeling a bit stressed and something more upbeat if I'm tired or lazy.

I remember listening to Creedence Clearwater Revival while drawing the pencil version of Ghilan'nain.

And my beloved Siouxsie provided the soundtrack for another drawing session.
