This isn't funny to me because the premise is flawed.

 

There is the same amount of gay and straight romances presented to the male pc(Dorian/Iron Bull and Cassandra/Josephine).If there were more men than women avaliable to the male PC it would be funny, but there aren't so this just feels cringeworthy since it shows how many people including the OP  live in their own reality in which when they get equal options as other people they percieve them as less options.

 

It's the same as me making a joke about how elven Inquisitors have more weapon choices than dwarven Inquisitors.It isn't funny if it isn't based on a true premise.At least that's how I see it.

 

The joke would have had some truth to it if it was reversed because only straight options for men are presented in other games 99% of the time.

I feel like you missed the joke. Because I don't think the joke was in the amount of romance options, but in the romance options themselves.

 

Yeah, some of us don't like the romance options themselves since they don't fit our tastes. It's ok though. Eventually Scout Harding will be available.

I ended up just getting a refund for DAI.  Bioware just isn't the same, and now that the only two romance options for straight gamers are two manly looking women, I just can't bring myself to support Bioware anymore.  That doesn't mean I'm not appreciative of Kotor, Origins, Mass Effect & Dragon Age 2. It was a great ride Bioware, good luck on your whole gay thing!

 

Fortunately CDProject still has balls, I can't wait for Witcher 3! i'd love to see more RPG's like the witcher.

I agree with this video 100%. Romance options in DAI for a straight male like myself are ridiculous. Cassandra is the only good option.

I suppose if you are a heterosexual male who is playing as the default male human and your only interested in romancing female Love Interests ( as the vast majority of gamers are ) then the pickings are slim in DA:I ( Josephine and Cassandra ). My Inquisitor is female so there are a lot more options.

I applaud DA:I for it's diversity of LI's but it I a curious that the game goes out of its way to restrict the vast majority of its player base.
