I think the point is that the nudie staff has the best stats, but is not appropriate for a leader who is trying to command with respect. So you have to pick a lesser staff in order to fit the role of a respectable leader.

 

I realize other people play it differently, but the game's storyline itself presents the role of Inquisitor as a position of honor and prestige. Andraste's golden t!ts.

The thing is, if you are uncomfortable and find the staff inappropriate, you can simply choose to not use it. Nobody made you the arbiter of what's appropriate and what's not though, that's for each and every player to decide for themselves. Those who would see this content patched out are effectively taking away every other player's agency.

 

Also, as another poster pointed out, you're basing your opinion that the staff is inappropriate on how it would be received in the real world. Thedas is not the real world. Our worldview and customs don't necessarily apply. If the game's creators decide something is appropriate for the people of Thedas, then it's appropriate. You have no dominion over this beyond your own character.

I'm still trying to make an issue out of the Japanese Boy Band thing. Why couldn't skinny nerdy guy look more like the kids from GSL/SC2 Proleague? 

 

Muscular guy looks like he's too tall. Must nerf to satiate my insecurity.

 

And the cute one? Faces shouldn't look like that, it's "unrealistic". Bah.

No brothels, no desire demons, qunari are suddenly the most PC race. Inquisition is squeaky clean for 18+ game. Yet people always can find the reason to be offended. Well, I don't care. I enjoy looking at beautiful female form, be it actual women or a piece of art. Last thing I need puritans making women to be ashamed of their own bodies as if they are dirty by nature (say hello to religious zealots destroying ancient statues). If you don't like it, don't use it (crafted items are better anyway).

Why everyone is assuming that people who dislike naked woman in their staff are puritans (hmm, new word) or have something against female form? I personally think it's just bad taste going around with that, similar as having naked woman on your shirt or phone-case. There is time and place for nudity and I don't think weapon is the place.

Not picture of real woman, but some kind of painted version I guess to take it to IRL. Idk, I just think that carrying naked figures with you in public is weird.

What that shirt that had chicks in leather and holding guns? What was in called again, Gunner girl shirt? I tried to find that shirt to get myself one but sadly coudlnt' find it on the lady's page who makes them sad times It looked oddly comfy.

I still think it looks weirdly comfy and something I would have worn to high school (though to mostly tick others off to be completely honest)

Well, it isn't actually abuse. Not from my viewpoint.

 

But from the OP and Learie's "technical" viewpoint... judging by how they're crying about the naked wimminz on top tier items, I can guarantee you 100% that they would perceive it as "abuse".

Because they're giving them the benefit of the doubt, that at least they have some ideological/moral reason to object to it, as opposed to just because they don't find it being in agreement with their personal tastes.

 

While both reasons would be wrong, the latter would be downright laughable.
