Can I have a simple request for people to stop spamming the forum with useless images ?

It's eating other people transfer limit to the point of some of the images here being about 2 mb or more each. It is adding up quickly.

Besides that, it is cluttering the threads and in some case makes them long to load/refresh.

Can people stop spamming the forum with useless posts and threads, and stop writing out long novels and paragraphs for useless debates?

This forum is dedicated for discussion in the text form. Posting threads and making text posts is not against the site rules.

Text post doesn't even takes 1/100 space of even a simple image.

 

On the other hand spamming images is against forum rules.

I can quote them for you:

 

Images: Posting single images or animated .gifs instead of engaging in discussion is not allowed. Images will be deleted and users may be banned for repeated offenses. Please note that using images to support your discussion is fine, as long as the images follow the forum rules (no adult content, defamation, racism, etc.).

 

If youy're not interested in some thread you can simply skip it.

If I want to read a thread in which you spammed your images there is no way to avoid them. They are going to load no matter what.

Better gif/image-spam than a flame war.  This thread could've easily went the flame war route as so many threads have gone.
