Dear Bioware:

We accepted the role as BETA testers for Dragon Age Inquistion since the November launch date and it's becoming increasingly clear that this engine requires a lot of skilled programmers to fix the ever-increasing (not decreasing) issues that arise with each patch.

In short, we want swag.

Maker help us all.

Do you. Do you really?

Didn't we already get free DLC which caused the infamous key glitch in multiplayer?

You want more of that?

Actually, as a top tier game that is priced below legitimate value (*) I figure I still owe Bioware some moolah, so I'll happily pay for a couple of DLC.

(*) - Price for a top tier game in 1990 was $49.99.  It was that for a long time and has only been going above that for some few years now.   Based on inflation between then and now, they should legitimately be charging anywhere between $90-$100 for the non deluxe versions.

So... the PC version is the only one that had any problems, and everyone else's version worked perfect.

No martyr complex happening here.

No, we don't. I'm perfectly happy to pay for any (currently hypothetical) future DLC.

Well, it would be nice. Not just for PC players, but for everyone. Old gen console players got the game in even worse state than we despite it being marketed it will run just fine on Xbox360/PS3. While DAI hasn't failed as much as AC:U for example, BW and EA certainly have a lot to apologize for (lying, chest-beating while the game remains buggy as hell, slow patching, almost non-existant communication with their fans, etc.) and would earn a lot of goodwill points by doing this (God knows they both could use some right now). Just look at ME3, Extended Cut quelled that shitstorm pretty well and I was then happy to pay for all the DLC that came after that.

Yeah, 100 USD... I can imagine all those millions of people that would continue to buy games for such a price :D Also, legitimate value is pretty subjective in this case. Is DAI an AAA game? Certainly. Is it top tier in the case of quality? No way in hell. I (and many others) honestly feel a bit robbed, since this is not the game we payed for. "Built by PC gamers for PC gamer", yeah right.

Hadn't I got a cool dragon-age-themed coffee mug for free from my retailer I would have been seriously pis*ed I paid 60 USD for this.

Demand free dlc because it wasn't to your expectations?

Next you'll be spouting even more nonsensical nonsense like vote Hilary for president.

Settling for free DLC already?

As a PC player myself, count me out from that pretty community you want to speak for. I want a polished game, not an unpolished game with more unpolished free DLC.

Well, ME3 got its 'Patch DLC'. Why couldn't we get the same?

I'm right there with you Cyan. I've already stated I wouldn't pay for DLC after what we've been through, especially because I am on PC and our controls and u.i are terrible.

If they don't do it, its fine. I'm not buying it anyway.

Why would they do this?  How is it profitable for them to give out free DLC?  This game doesn't have a monthly fee like other MMORPG's, so it doesn't really gain them anything to keep people playing.  They'll either have DLC for a price, or they'll say 'well, we already got their $60, why spend any more resources for no monetary gain?'

How about because they're liars and basically false advertised this game out the arse? I think that qualifies. They hyped their game up made by pc gamers for pc gamers, and it has way too many problems. The tac mode is a tacked on afterthought.

Not to mention the absolute ridiculously bad pc controls, u.i and the INSANE amount of bugs we've had to deal with?

So I guess its ok to lie to your fans, give them a broken crap product, then charge them for dlc? That's what you're saying they should do.

Even if I don't have a gamer PC, I understand your point of view. You are the first in line with all the new patches and you always suffer from the new bugs. If they think you aren't the beta tester for the game itself, you obviously are the beta testers for the patches!

I see in this thread the futur of gaming industry is talking, no? In some years, we will have so-called gamers happy to pay full price to have a patch for a poor excuse of a game.

As a console player who got it upon release, I paid just as much for my copy as any of you jokers out there, and no one is any more entitled to bonuses than anyone else.

Well you liked the game as it is, right? So there's no reason for you to ask for, well, a compensation of sorts. Right? :)

The game as it was upon release was chock full of infuriating bugs that made it considerably difficult to complete let alone even consider a replay. I can't remember the last time I ever had to force my system to shutdown and restart, going through the process of checking the file system with such frequency, and skip through tons of dialogue because of aggravating freezes, with only moderate success. At this point, being sympathetic toward the PC group over these issues has become increasingly difficult.

This is why I laugh at the whole duping exploit that BioWare plugged up. So tragic.

Polished game, how optimistic are you :D In reality it will be unpolished, buggy game with unpolished, buggy paid DLC.

Say what you will about AC:U and Ubisoft in general, but they've scrambled to fix the hell out of it. Several sizable patches (bordering on huge), a free game, and free DLC.

Meanwhile, Bioware at least pretends to listen to PC users (even if I'm not sure they actually are), 360/PS3 users just get the "take a long walk off a short pier" approach.
