There are quite a few points in Thedas history where groups of people have collected around a single powerful individual. In modern (Dragon Age) times these give us the Warden, the Champion, and the Inquisitor. But, what if the historical figures in Thedas were no different... what if there were a set of hypothetic "Ancient Age" games set 900 years before those of Dragon Age.
The Ancient Age: Origins - you play the "Conductor" seeking to gather the power necessary to pierce the Veil. That ends with a shocking discovery in the Golden City.
The Ancient Age II - you play as the "First Warden", a heroic figure who has to unite a rag tag band soldiers in an effort to fight the first Blight. Can you and your allies discover the truth behind the Blight and cannibalise its power to become the Grey Wardens. (While featuring compelling characters this one is generally not considered as good as the AA:O).
The Ancient Age: Chantry - you play as the "Bride" in an expansive open world environment that take you from the wilds of Fereldun to the slave markets of Tevinter. You can recruit the elf Shartan, the war chief Cathaire, and the barbarian Maferath, amongst others.
There are no gods, just Level 40 companion characters from unreleased prequels.
