I have no idea how or what about ME since I never played those games. But um, in terms of DAI, yeah, I thought it was pretty bad and still has me confused as hell after numerous play-throughs.
Isn't it obvious? Solas is Keyser Soze.

I personally think the ending was shallow and really bad. It made half the game mechanics seem useless (what was the point of gathering all that power and influence if we never use it). Quite frankly, the whole thing seemed rushed and put together at last minute. I also agree that the ending was worse then Mass Effect 3. It makes all the same mistakes but some people will never see it this way because people are not as connected to the Inquisitor as they were to Shepard.
At this point I am hoping for some post-content DLC that gives my Inquisitor a sense of conclusion or that Bioware surprises everyone and brings back the Inquisitor as the protagonist in the next game. I know they have the whole new protagonist each game thing but Bioware have said they would be open to using the same character more then once if they see that it is important for the story. Besides the whole Inquisition game felt like a giant prologue preparing people for what comes next.

I was content with the ending. At least it didn't pull things out of nowhere.
Yeah. My ending for the first playthrough felt mostly complete. Starchild... Go for the eyes, Boo! Go for the eyes!!! RAWRUSK!!!
I'm more bothered by the fact that the final mission was simply a fight against Cory. ME3 at least had a full-fledged final mission.
But even still, I don't think anything could match ME3's ending's randomness and stupidity.

The reason it sucks is so you'll buy the post-campaign dlc. You can't cash in on a story that's finished.

I mean Awakening worked pretty well for being post game content, but if EA had charged for the EC heads would have been rolling

DA:O flat out tells you the story isn't over in the epilogue. DA:I is just even more not over than that. If I threw you into a desert, you'd want water a lot more than you would if I took you to a tropical paradise with a beachside hotel.
Final battle: a bit rushed. Where did the other companions go when you fight Cory? I would say this is rather bad. A lackluster for sure.
Ending party: OK. I enjoy talking to the companions/advisors.
Slides: Good. I was pleasantly surprised at who became the Divine.
Post credit: Pretty interesting.
Overall: A more than OK ending, I guess. Obviously not as bad as that of ME3, but they could do better though.

Same place your other companions go in every Bioware game ![]()

Let's all hope someone mods a better ending like they did for ME3.
Trading an actual ending for silly amateurish garbage is most certainly not an upgrade.

Your welcome.
I really wanted to do that when he first appeared. I didn't even know the incredible crapstorm that erupted on the ending. I was still dealing with out-of-nowhere-super-ninja when I saw at work one day that it was trending. Totally spoiled the ending for me and the above picture summarized my rage. The free DLC was an awesome attempt at bringing closure properly.

Well played.

Thank you
They're on the ground, and you're on the pieces of the temple that Corypheus has lifted into the air.Final battle: a bit rushed. Where did the other companions go when you fight Cory?
Cory is probably having a blast in the fade. Don't know why we sent him there but I'm sure he doesn't' mind.

I don't think Cory is going to be able to do much when we opened up a rift inside of him.
Except there are blighted materials in the fade, not to mention actual darkspawn.
Killing Cory's Dragon turned his godmode off, and the Inquisitor sent him into the Fade inside out. He's deader then disco.
Unless if that dragon was buried under the prison or something, he revived prior to it's creation.
So it's a plot inconsistency.
No it's not. Corypheus created the Dragon in a similar way Sauron created the One Ring. By investing some of himself into the Dragon.
By killing the Dragon, the magic that lets Cory jump bodies is disrupted and thus makes him vulnerable.
It's pretty clearly spelled out by Morrigan if you let her drink from the Well.
