This is the same Sera who thinks fighting dragons are fun. I don't think that fear. As I said before , it's not that type of last battle. It would make more sense if DA2 had it.
I'll defer to your judgment ![]()

I just had a piece of dialogue with Sera were she said something like "No one told me about the freakin archdemon" I think that is indicative of fear. Also on my mage run, I gave Ranier I mean Blackwall crap at every turn, I think it would be cool if he would have bailed on me for being such a tool to him. These are just personal things i'd have liked, I don;t think their absence detracts from the game.
Sera's struggle is her inner battle of being an elf that's raised by humans. She's an elf that that's lives in a world where elves are thought to be inferior, yet she shares these thoughts despite being an elf herself. She's unable to reconcile with what she physically is and instead participates in said prejudice. I'm beginning to think that some people here don't even bother to listen to the dialogue.

It's not that she thinks Elf are inferior or grew up with people who thought that. Her issue is guilt over her actions when she thought someone hated her because she was an elf when they were not. That some she cared for and trusted lied to her out of ego and that lie lead to Sera doing regretful actions. Her issue with elves is that they are too trapped in their own despair and self loathing over the past.

That's a whole other issue. Well, not a whole other issue, but it's related to the issue that I spoke of. She embodies the same ideals as humans, believing in Andraste and completely writing off everything that happened in the Elven temple. Notice her reaction is much like Cassandra's. They both were in a state of disbelief after Arbor fields. She also often talks about how she doesn't like how the dalish act, nor does she believe in their traditions. She's an elf that wants to be accepted as a human, despite the fact that humans generally don't respect her kind.
I agree with the OP. It was a lackluster fight, with no build up. There was no heroic speech, no real struggle to get there, and the companions you didn't take with you didn't even participate in the fight. "Oh the Inquisitors off to fight Coryphinuts, you know, the bad guy we've been trying to stop for the entirety of the game. Let's just chill at Skyhold, maybe take a nap, she'll be fine!" Yeah thanks jackasses.
It was a wholly unsatisfying ending. I don't mind high fantasy, "and they all live happily ever after" endings, so long as it's not won easily. Coryphinuts should have won a little after Haven. And we should've had more insight into who he was. He was a shitty villain, but he could've been great had they put in a little more effort and not left it all to codex entries.
Man imagine if, after he re-opened the breach, a hoard of demons came pouring out and we had to fight our way to the temple from Skyhold. Imagine Cullen defending Skyhold and Liliana scouting ahead, as you and your companions, ALL your companions, went to punch coryphinuts in the face, some getting left behind to help stop the demons from getting too close to base. And then when Morrigan/golden dragon gets knocked down and you kill the archdemon wannabe, Coryphinuts manages to get into the fade and the rest of the fight happens there. That would've been awesome. But alas.
Don't forget learning about the skulls of the Tranquil, that was pretty f***ed up for my mage Inquisitor.Nope.
You as a prisonor in heaven with the mark killing you and everyone going ape when the divine did. You in the future seeing a destroy dark world with a character's face ripped off. You trapped in the fade by envy who is trying to mind rape you. The fall of Heaven. You being physically thrown in the fade with a gigantic Nightmare demon. You trying to deal with a murder plot with near everyone working with their own agenda. Fighting your way to the well of sarrows.
And that just with the quis, other character went through alot as well. So don't say the story had not struggles.

I use "Coryphyshiteheel".

Calling that trite nonsense a struggle is an insult to actual well written conflicts.

You're very narrow minded, are you. Struggles don't need to be external and hers was a pretty good one. Her issue is her place between elves and humans and her conflict with in herself about it.
Sera's like the Dr. Ben Carson of the elven. She hates on other elves for not doing something about their situation whereas Solas is more like Tupac.

She hate them for their self pity and being stuck in the past. And after what is found out in emerald graves and the arber wilds she may have a point.

More like Emerald Graves and Arbor Wilds (plus Solas) prove her wrong, but... oh well
Shes' a total hater. Ate a whole pie of self-loathing and washed it down with a gallon of haterade.
Sera's all

While Solas is all

While my elf Inquisitor is all

Sure Solas is...
He doesn't care about the pretending elves, hence why I bring up Malcom and not Martin.

Wait ...How?
Arbor wilds show the fall of the elves were cause by the elves. Emerald graves shows their alienation and hubris caused it again and Solas can't stop saying how the dalsh have their head so suck up their end that they can't see the light to know they are doing things wrong.

*FACEPALM.
Note in the vid he's talking about the dalish elves. And who are the one not pretending to be elves. The city elves don'y know their old culture and the dalish elves got it all wrong. And he makes the point that he hates the dalish the most.

Just like Malcolm.

Why does he hate them? Because none of them remember who they really are and rise up as free, independent, and wise magickal people.
You do remember that he's race gated for romance, right? What race?
That's right. Elves.

You do understand they destroyed themselves. Right?
Just like Malcolm.
Yes, he's just like the war monger who laughed about other people death and was kill due to his own kinds politics.(I mean war mongers.) ![]()

That's what Malcolm said about black males.

Look you can take all this Sera apologisms, yo, and that's cool. She don't want to date her own race or hang with her own people. Fine.

We learn that:
1. Elven gods are real
2. Arlathan was amazing (if not as nice as some would want it to believe) with atually immortal elves
3. Fall of Arlathan starts making sense - a civil war is a lot more convincing than human barbarians suddenly being able to topple the empire of this scope without any reason
4. There actually is great and powerful even magic still left in the world, waiting to be recovered
As for Red Crossing we don't really learn anything new - Dalish already acknowledge that one of greatest problems of the Dales was the fact that they didn't really understand their human neighbors.
As for Solas, he hates and despises Dalish, but also proves (or at least speaks of) past glory of the Elvhen. And in fact he's the one actually stuck in the past so hard that he can't see what's going on around him. And if you missed that part - one of Dalish greatest regrets is that they know their knowledge is very incomplete and based on half-remembered legends.

Please... The dalish in general are too proud to admit to any wrong doing at the red crossing and that they were and will always be in the right. Only a few of the dalish beleive the issue was not understanding their neighbors. And even the the majority of the dalish will not listen to the few. I understand the greatness of elven glory but everyone who supports them misses the issue of elven hubris. How can they be great agein as long as their hubris is still around?
