Coming off a Insanity run on ME3 I was feeling bold so I started on hard, good challenge but not overbearing. Nightmare..... was another story

Three playthroughs. The first on normal was the hardest one as I didn't know anything about mechanics, equipment, builds and learned as I played. Second on hard was easier. Third on nightmare, where I found the very first boss fight with my Inky as DW Rogue annoyingly hard, was even easier overall. As I have the Inquisitor trophy, from now on I'll start out on hard and change to nightmare after the first boss.

I was confused for a second, I thought you raised the difficulty of combat you hated and lowered the difficulty of combat you liked lol. You mean you played DA on nightmare and ME on easy right?

 

Yep.  Actually, I play all the games (that I like) with variable difficulty the same way:  First time through on the "default" setting, then progressively harder until I max out.  If I still like the game, then I pick the setting for subsequent runs.  Since I played the entire ME-series (with all DLC) over a dozen times, "Casual" was where I left it after nabbing the "Insanity" badge.  But for the DA-series, (also over a dozen complete DA:O->DAA->GoA->WH->DA2 campaigns) I stayed with "Nightmare" once I got there.

 

In the middle of DA:I on "Hard", at the moment.  Haven't yet decided what class I'll use next for "Nightmare".

I would suggest changing the name of the topic to "Do you like your game challenge hard?" as I have a feeling a lot of people are going to misinterpret what you currently have up.

 

There is a theme of putting innuendo into thread titles at the moment. I don't know if it started with the 'Do You Like To Watch' thread but it was the first I saw. They are harmless fun that lead people into clicking that thread rather than the one below if only to see what the OP is on about.
