Minorities should be catered to too. They pay the same money for a product, and should not feel excluded. But it shouldn't feel forced in either direction. It should be a natural thing.

but nobody forces them to buy these products. I'm against inclusion of agendas. I would prefer BioWare to focus on harmonious content and cater to most probably healthy majority of players. Many companies do just fine without widening their grip, BioWare should simply pull its hand back.

a DLC system like in Sims 3 for DAI would be great.

more hair styles, more pyjamas, so many ways to play.

Tevinter armours, armours in general. The game is lacking armours!

Hawke teleports as a rogue.

Templar magic use is in the lore. That gives it a free pass.

Gaider even stated that neither rogues nor mages teleport in DAII & that it's illusion in one case (Mages) & quickness/camouflage in the other.

If I had had a free demo of DA:I before buying the game, I would have waited a year til it was cheap, that's for sure.

Look at DA:I. that item Varric uses that teleports your party to safety. That is a device that teleports your party. A rgoue can't move faster than light without a spell anyway, so. Superpowers\magic is involved.

Who really cares what Gaider states though?

Are you saying that in order to be "healthy" you need to be cis, male, white and straight?

No, they should broaden their reach, defy bigotry even further tbh. They take risks that others shy away from & that costs them a lot but they still come through for us, somewhat at least.

Can we at least have crumbs? They aren't even all that great crumbs, but geez, seriously?

You forget, Bioware is ran by EA. Which is business and businesses want to sell their products and how do you do that, advertisement. Appealing to the minority while you already have a core set of fans is a win-win. Even if you end up losing some of those core fans the new ones will replace them and with a good impression of the company, which leads to good word of mouth, which increases the chances of more new fans, which leads to more sales, which is a win.

Now you lost me completely. I've played through Inquisition six times but that has never happened, through either Varric, Sera or Cole. "Teleporting" only happens if you run from a fight and your party doesn't disengage properly. Or I missed something.

For DA:I word of mouth is mostly very negative, though. Despite the astonishing reviews and awards. They have alienated a huge portion of their fanbase now.

Its one of his "powers". I forget which tree it is from. He puts an item on the ground, near where you will fight. If you struggle in the fight (which is impossible to do in this game anyway) you can trigger it and the party is teleported to a safe distance.

It really, REALLY isn't.

A select group on the BSN doesn't represent the majority.

Oh, you mean that artificer skill. Where he plants a mark on the floor and teleport back to it whenever he wants. I think it's called Fallback Plan or something like that.

Look at amazon reviews, metacritic, and the DA facebook page. Need to pay attention on the latter, though. They delete "negative posts" really quickly.

You know what I'm not entirely convinced that the problem with Witcher is that it caters to straight males, maybe it's more about how it does it and how it promotes itself that turn some people off (myself included). I've been thinking about it recently: I have no problem for instance with watching shows like Strike Back, which is 100% testosterone, and enjoying it for the action eyecandy that it is, but Witcher somehow manages to put  "this is not for you" sign on itself. Admittedly if Strike Back was done as a game there is no telling if I would want to play it, depends again on how it would be done,  but I've came to conclusion that I'm not interested in watching anything Witcher related anymore.

Me too. Atrociously high price and sea of cuts and lacks.

Oh no, I would never dare to say such thing on these forums. What I mean by 'healthy' is size of majority as in 'humongous majority'.

I disagree, they should do exactly the opposite.

I've heard that fasting makes one a better person, spiritually at least.

No, I remember it very well. I disagree with the notion of 'good impression' and to be perfectly honest many great other businesses do well without 'scaring' their old customers. Unfortunately some companies surrender profits for agendas.

That is the one, yes. That is teleporting. A teleporting spell that actually affects 4 characters. In addition it is also created by a rogue dwarf, who has zero skills with magic. Odd he is able to create several thousands of those marks.

Nobody forces you to buy their products either. If you're so concerned about your demographic then perhaps play the vast collection of games that do just that, instead of lamenting one of the few that doesn't?

Has it ever occured to you that Bioware WANT to cater to different types of people, cause I gotta tell you, that's the impression i've been getting for many years now. The devs have stated that they don't care about alienating others in the process, because if you feel alienated  by not receiving the lion's share of the content then you aren't the target audience anyway.

I always felt the sex bit in the witcher is more tongue in cheek, rather than testosterone things. That sex scene with Triss in that pool actually has a lot of humor in it.

Metacritic? Amazon? As in Troll Haven? Nope. I will look at the players I know (LPers and Reviewers I trust whom I know actually played the game) 'cause it takes nothing to write a "review" on Metacritic/Amazon and FB....nah. I'd NEVER use any of them to gauge the quality of a game or its overall reception.
