Have you actually played the games? It sounds as though you haven't.

No, as I said, I have not, but I've watched enough of it on youtube and have watched my friends playing TW2 recently.  I do have a problem with playing pre-made characters so I typically research a lot before buying anything that has them and have become pretty good at avoiding things I most definitely won't like. What I've seen so far in Witcher rubs me the wrong way.

I always felt the sex bit in the witcher is more tongue in cheek, rather than testosterone things. That sex scene with Triss in that pool actually has a lot of humor in it.

You know it's not entirely the sex (TW1 romance mechanics is admittedly missing the point by a mile). The portraying of it goes straight to the typical heterosexual male zone, but so are 99% of sex scenes on tv.  It's more the way characters themselves from Geralt to the very minor ones and they way they are portrayed and characterized. Doesn't help that I don't find Geralt and Co attractive even on the superficial level, so I can't even fall on that and say "ok at least there is an eyecandy".

No clue if it is Briala. Nothing happens, and my Orlesian Court approval keeps dropping. That court approval bit dropping when you are away was one rotten design choice.

The approval dropping makes sense IMHO. But where exactly does it happen? Maybe you just missed something? Did you look up a walkthrough/guide?

Yes he is. He works like that.

You like this game? --> Payed by EA.

Blindly defending every flaw and poor design, is different from liking the game.

I actually liked the game more than I disliked it, by the way. Gave it a 6 out of 10. Sorry if that messes up your assumptions.

THe norm is necessarily the right path though. The norm a hundred years ago would be to stop women from voting and keep blacks in servitude. Doesn't make those positions right though.

Also, why would you support a xenophobic, insane, murderous slave state!?!

I disagree.

I support enlightement, power and glorious hierarchy of all that is flesh and bones. I'm definately not into the modern way throwing 'phobias' and I have no problems with slavery in Tevinter Imperium, in fact I would like to get a slave myself, some mentally degenerated elf from all the tortures I would inflict upon his/her miserable mortality.

Am not a fan of the timer either, but many here have posted otherwise.

For me, I simply hate crowded affairs, and any need for faster reflexes, even if they are not really required here. I just wanted to be gone; am hoping someone makes a mod that Skips the Affair, and ends at the final cut-scene.

There isn't a Mod to skip it but there is a CheatEngine Table that'll max/lock down Court Approval no matter what you do.

The sex in the game is optional, though, for the most part. Geralt's personality is set in stone, due to the books. I would agree with you plenty if the game let us create our own witcher, and the game still went in the Geralt direction.

It makes sense in some ways. But it is odd that the entire court knows you are missing. Huge place, after all. But constantly forcing us away from the court, while having that approval dropping, isn't the best of designs. I'd rather they had done it differently. Still, it is not a huge biggie that one.

Looked up some guides, yes. But I try to avoid them due to spoilers. Believe me, I have tried everything. I think I am up to 11 tries right now. Restarted that whole mission more than 5 times. Takes 30 minutes or so to get to that point, so it hasn't been a fun experience.

How much are they paying you? You are actually defending EA from paying people for false advertisement.

And there we go.

Must be fun living in a world where everyone disagreeing with you is on someone's paylist.

And I wasn't defending anything. I was just pointing out that that links proves absolutely nothing. They can only control who they pay, not who they don't. That you see that as me defending them is your problem.

Though I'll be honest: I don't give a damn. Every commercial everywhere on every medium works like that. Unless, of course, everything on TellSell or whatever it's called nowadays is actually really the next best thing ever, and they're not just trying to make me buy things.

Why? I were enjoying company of Vette in SWTOR. I were torturing her too. Nothing 'trollish' about it unless the BioWare is a 'troll'? Trolls in TW2 are quite funny!

The fact  that Geralt personality is set on stone and coincidentally is one that I do not like is most likely the major issue here.

IDK if it would help but I'd be willing to test a Save of yours to see if you just missed something. Feel free to send me a PM with a Save right before the bug hits, if you have one & I'll take a look. Will keep Spoilers to a minimum. :)

I explained to you earlier that it wasn't about disagreeing with me. Read slower, if it helps.

The link proves EA pays off people to speak highly of their products, regardless of the quality of it.

True. Most big companies does this. Heard it from the "horse's mouth" not too long ago. Doesn't excuse it though.

Probably. And it is a fair and valid issue to have, by all means. If you don't like the protagonist, your experience of the story will suffer.

Yes but in no it way proves how there's very little complaingin on youtube. How there's no tonnes of videos from people raging their nuts off because the game is so übercrap. You know, from people who aren't reviewers, but regular Joes.

Unless you're somehow argueing here that EA sought out these people and payed them off.

Have you been contacted by them yet? ;)

Operation Seraphim

It is a game, I see no harm in harming fictional characters. I guess that many players would like to have their own 'Reek', in fact it would be quite funny, to have a slave minion in your team. Whenever something goes bad, you would take a whip and punish him and he would be happy to serve your righteous judgement.

Youtubers with plenty regular followers are the main targets here. Not the average Joe that gets 50 views per rant.

Those bugs I mentioned are the only bugs I have encountered in the game, though. Those and the music not playing outside cutscenes. Played for 75 hours total and I still don't know what the game sounds like.

It isn't set in stone. You do have some sway over it, just not as much as your Inquisitor or Hawke. You've intrigued me though, what about his personality do you not like? He hates racism and bigotry of all kinds, he defends the powerless, hates political scheming and BS. Sticks up for the unprivileged. Has a dry sense of humour. He has many qualities that are often championed on the BSN, and yet so many say they dislike Geralt.

So exactly what was the point you were trying to make when someone said that there was very little complaining even on youtube?

The guy even extrapolated on it, and since you're replying to nearly every single post in this thread, you can't have missed what he was talking about.

I'm not talking about YouTube reviewers, I'm talking about people in comment sections. Unless you're proposing that every single positive comment is from someone who was paid off,

So you were proving... what? Or did you just have to randomly enter some more anti EA into the conversation?

He's male and likes sex? And women in the game seem to like him for no reason?
