Dear I played Witcher all 2!

I like it but that doesn't mean I will close my eyes shut and say that Witcher is not a game that just focuses on banging chicks! Most missions you do always includes one lady in it that you can bang after you get mission done or before even.So don't sweet-coat me in here trying to say it is not! Same goes for any other game I like not matter how much I like it I always say theirs flaws upfront, I like Skyrim but if it wasn't for open-world and so many mods Skyrim would be pure $hit,I like Witcher but no matter how "clean" play you try to have in end game pretty much forces you to just bang someone, I like DA:I but wow that doesn't mean I don't think I find DA:I story too short and simple and that main villain of story is joke!

If I point out flaws of some game that doesn't mean I hate it or that I'm against it! Plus I'm just pointing out how Witcher threads shouldn't even be in here. Want to discus Witcher? That is fine I do too but I do it on Witcher forums not on some other! So any Witcher discussion just take on Witcher forums not in here! 

 

 

I'm just about to beat The Witcher 1 and so far I only had to have sex three times to advance the plot. All other times I just refused to have sex and just went on my merry way.

Well.. its 16 more than Dragon age Inquisition has given us..

 

So they are releasing free DLC which is going to be alternate beards, hairstyles and that kind of thing. Well, that's nice, I guess, but why not just put it in the game from the beginning instead of as DLC later?

I wonder if they'll be beards that actually stick to their faces..

I feel the same way. Releasing story DLC after the game is released, for free, would be the true showing of dedication to a fan base. 

 

Praising one company to the heavens before they actually prove themselves worthy of it, is just as bad as continually and blindly bashing another. Lots of people praised Bungie before Destiny was released, and boy did that mountain erupt like no other.

I'm sorry, but literally including a stack of pornography with your game and replacing very other word with f*** or c**** does not make a "mature" game - it's just a pile of garbage, and I am honestly surprised the people responsible for that atrocity kept their jobs.

Dude, having problem with even a hardcore pornography & cursing and at the same time having none with massive amount of spilled blood and all of the violence is little troubling. IMHO there is something wrong with you, not with the game.

A lot of the faith in CDPR comes from the way they've handled things and treat the fans in the past. They have an excellent track record. Of course that could change but CDPR are saying all of the right things. They have built up a lot of goodwill with the fanbase.

Going for what CDPR have done in the past; New side quests, hairstyles and a grand update a year after called "Enhanced Edition" with updated visuals, changes, better performance and even more quests, all for free.

Your issue is with the game/setting itself though. Tbey haven't 'gotten away' with anything. They made the story that they wanted to make. They weren't cowed into changing anything by the professional victim "everything is offensive!" crowd like others clearly have been. They have never done wrong by the fans. Not liking the game shouldn't affect your opinion on the dev team. What is it that you think CDPR shouldn't have gotten away with?

I agree, but it's still a lot better than doing the same thing and charging for it like a LOT of others have done. They haven't even began working on a lot of the dlc yet either, so it's not as though this is content that is already on the disk.

Or maybe representation and inclusivity are beautiful, extremely rare things that matter to a lot of people who rarely get that anywhere else. As a "victim" I'm gonna tell ya something right now: Non cis, non white, non straight people existed in the Medieval Times, and......wait for it.......weren't created in the last 20 years. Maybe BioWare also wanted to do right by women, non het, non cis, non white folks and thus included them? As a non straight lass, I really appreciate not being reduced to a gimmick/object to the male gaze for a change when people like me appear in a story, ya know? Or maybe have one or two pseudo medieval games where women aren't just reduced to boobs/damsels to bed/scheming witches with boobtastic dresses.

 

I like the Witcher Series. I like the DA series. As in what they got away with? Reducing an entire character arc/relationship to a codex? Disregarding my choices in TW1 (Esp. re: Geralt's personality) in their joke of an Import system in TW2? Sexist porn card games? (They know better now tho) Heck, BioWare gets away with stuff too, it's just different.

 

"Done right by the fans." Well, at least their marketing's working, such uncritical adoration......but I was called a "fanboy", ironic, innit?

Well, they COULD give us a Chargen FOR Geralt. Within reason, of course. (I.E. white hair & cat eyes are obligatory but you get hairstyles, skintones, beards, scars, ink etc.) I'd appreciate that, like a lot.
