yeah but that team could have helped them with the Singleplayer instead of adding pointless MP
... no. It's a team that makes multiplayer for Bioware (or EA, not sure about the details). Multiplayer is what they do, it's their thing.

I don't think so because Bioware Montreal made the MP for ME3 and now they are making ME4
so no there is no specific team for multiplayer

How long has your team been working on MP?
· Over two years. After Mass Effect 3 MP's success, we created a special team with veterans from the Dragon Age and Mass Effect franchises. Our lead MP designer and lead online programmer have been on the Dragon Age franchise since Dragon Age: Origins. The addition of designers, programmers, artists, audio, QA, and production from Mass Effect 3 MP will help us ship a really fun co-op game that suits our franchise.
Drop in/out Co-Op would have been a MP component that would have made the most sense. Who would not want to explore this game with a buddy....? I checked out the MP and it took a while to even find a full group. Everyone bailed before it started, so yeah, MP is DOA

It's fun
No
Could have? Sure. They also could have been put on something completely different. Why do you figure they would have been put on DAI SP?yeah but that team could have helped them with the Singleplayer instead of adding pointless MP

As I think I said upthread, cutting MP could have even resulted in less resources for SP, depending on how Bio does their project planning. My old outfit used to aim at a target level of profitability for our products. If you cut the cheap and highly profitable part of a project, and you still want the same ROI, you have to cut some of the expensive stuff to get back to the target level.
Of course, it's possible that Bio just shovels a random amount of money into a box marked "DAI," but I don't know if EA would let them do it that way.
Bioware's historically had mulitplayer components to their games, going all the way back to Baldur's Gate.
Multiplayer isn't something EA's forcing on them.
I agree multiplayer was completely unnecessary it has no purpose being in a DA game
ME3's MP was pretty fun but they should have used those resources for a better SP experience and we know how ME3 lacked there (ending ....)
Cutting multiplayer from that game would NEVER have replaced the project leads. You would still get the same ending.
Nor would the money that was being spent on a feature designed to generate revenue be suddenly allocated to making more single player missions either.
ME3 multiplayer was something I was really against ... until I played it. Then I ate a bleepton of crow and really enjoyed it. DA:I MP ... well I personally am not that in to it but I hope TONS of people are and are having fun I, 100% support it. I bet if I had more cool people to play it with I would really enjoy it. It feels like a an experience for a group of friends to have together.
I hope they refine it, refine it, refine it, and keep making it better for people who enjoy it because even if I don't (enjoy it as much as some) I want as many people as possible to have loads of fun. Life is short, fleeting, and sad so, so often. We are gamers we have a common ground to rally behind. Why don't we help each other have fun more?
Long live the MP, even though I prefer SP! Maybe I will eventually see some of you folks in there!
MP certainly aligns with EA's "games as services" mantra, which is itself just a thinly-veiled attempt to rationalize microtransactions and DRM.

Then they could have done better tbh. Not saying it's bad, but if it's your just to just do MP....idk what to say about it.
