Thank you for the hundred of hours of fun time with you, I quite enjoyed it. I just wish I had just as much fun playing with you second time around. Maybe it's not because of you but me, I'm fatiqued and I think it's good to take a break. I'm looking forward seeing you again soon though.
The Thank you thread!

But... but... the character creator is a mess.
There's not a single area in the game that has the same lighting! I shouldn't have to think the entire time while creating a character that I should make the make up colour darker than I want it to be. Because if I don't, my character will turn out like some neon coloured freak.
There's other problems (the hair most notably, both in styles and the colours), but whoever gave the ok to a CC that has such unbelievably crappy lighting should lose his/her job.
There are definitely things that can be improved in the game, including things within the character creator.
I have a bucket wishlist that I have written down of things I'd like to see from gameplay to missions to design, however, as far as sculpting the way I want my character's features to look, it's a jump ahead of what I expected. I'm not stuck with that chiseled jaw, rugged hero look of DA:O or DA2. I can have a gentler touch with my elves and play around with androgyny.
And since this is a thank-you thread, I left off the things I'd have liked to see or liked to see done better.
That can be and has been done elsewhere and to much better effect that my pitiful knowledge of programming. ![]()
My first four males (three elf and one Qunari) came out a little heavy on the eye shadow and lip gloss. I was quite surprised when they walked out of the Fade, but I've been happy with them overall and they have been fun to play. My human (created to play the Cassandra arc) has a lighter touch and came out looking less 80's glam rock band).
The Qunari I will probably have to redo. But then I love playing in the CC, so that's no hardship for me.
Fen's makeup, poor lad, came out a little heavy, but I'm enjoying playing him quite a bit.
Kiri's make-up is still a little too bright in many scenes.
Did much better with Laurent.
So yes. I want to thank Bioware, the programmers and the artists who worked together for so many years to bring about Dragon Age Inquisition. I love the character creator. Thank-you for letting me create beautiful elves.
I like the world, the colors, the birds, the oceans and streams and rivers and mountains and plants. I like the overall story and dang-it, I even like the Skyhold uniform. At least on my elves.
I love The Iron Bull and Dorian and Cole and Cassandra just makes me swoon. I could name all the companions and advisers. Some are more favorite than others, but they are all well done. Each character has been designed with loving care and it shows. They seem well-rounded individuals with interesting backstories.
Is there something I am unhappy with? Something I want improved/changed/added? Sure. Another thread, another time. ![]()

The game has faults but it is still a good game.
Thank you.

*snip*
The CC is way better than MEs or the previous DA titles. But compared to this:
It's an abomination. We're still stuck with plastic wigs for hair and body models that can not be adjusted in any way.
Now it sounds like I kinda hate the game, but in reality, the CC is one of few gripes I have with the game. I just expected way more nearing the end of 2014.

No game is perfect, but for my money DA: I is damn close. Sure, they pulled back on the RPG elements a tad more than I would have preferred, but at the end of the day, it really is an amazing, almost phenomenal (or is) experience
The variety of missions, scope, characters, is everything I had hoped for Destiny. So thanks to bioware for making an awesome game

Sexy CC. I remember reading about it. I think that's a major selling point of the MMO though.
In my opinion, DAI has very different priorities in where to allocate resources . Although... it's rather diffucult to argue that characters shouldn't get better treatment in their visual appearance so you're not exactly wrong in that department. ![]()
Not that I wouldn't like a better CC if they ever get around to improving it. Still, while I was capable of creating good looking characters in DAO and DA2, I actually feel I'm creating relatively "realistic" humans rather than plastic figurines in DAI. Minus the hair....although the Florianne haircut is enough for me really and it looks great in darker shades.

The only thing I want in the CC is to be able to change the elf body, lets say to have more "beef" in it..

It's definitely been noted and passed around the studio a bit. That CC is just sickeningly cool.
So I have my hopes set on ME4 now, though it really isn't an admission of anything.
I will be disappointed

I think that's been a major complaint.
Personally, I'm not bothered by the female elf as much as the male elf. The latter are just SO THIN. It might be my aversion to the twink body type....
They need to be more like Sera and Solas, although after reading some fan theories around here... there may be a reason that they're larger than other elves.
I'll stick to my perfectly proportioned human hunks for now >.>

The CC is way better than MEs or the previous DA titles. But compared to this:
Well, I am over my quota for likes... but anyway, I don't do MMO's in general (I've tried a few and get bored with them rather quickly since I am generally an introvert and it seems to me the bulk of fun in those types of games is getting with a group of friends and chatting while playing).
I did look at Black Desert... quite a bit and mostly for their CC, I guess you could say I have CC envy. Still when I compare the games and what I like, I generally compare Bioware to Bioware, Square Enix to Square Enix and Blizzard to Blizzard.
As you pointed out it is better than their previous titles... and I like it. Because it is improved, even if not perfect. I expect perfection will roll along on its own, hopefully sooner rather than later.

I'm nearing the end of my 4th playthrough and still having a blast. In fact I am really liking my Qunari lady way more than I thought I would. In short: Agree with the OP and THANK YOU to Bioware.
... btw just as an aside to a post that was made earlier about people thanking Bioware or the rubbish collector or whatever ...
I do thank the guy that takes the trash. I do thank the clerks at stores, the staff at restaurants, the gal at the gas station for always having fresh hot coffee ready 15 minutes before they are even supposed to be open which lets me grab some on my way home from the gym whose staff and fellow classmates I ALSO thank.
I also thanked Bioware already by buying the deluxe edition twice but I still think just saying 'Thank you' has value as well.

I thanked Bioware by preordering ME3 Collectors Edition. They returned the favor by introducing star child.
I kid, I kid.
I love Bioware, they are probably my favorite company right now, on the same level as Telltale Games. Both deliver quality and excellence, and maintain reasonable levels of communcation with their fan base. It used to be EA Sports, then as I realized I enjoyed RPGs more it was Squaresoft. Then they merged with Enix and sort of declined, or at least changed their ways. Bioware is always in danger of getting EA'd, so it's up to the fanbase to prevent that through honest and respectful criticism. It doesn't make us love BW any less though!

More and more it seems I am the only one who actually liked the Catalyst
It's one of the highlights in my gaming history. Ever since ME1 I only had two questions:
Where do the Reapers come from?
Why do they do what they do?
And they were answered, I was satisfied. As one of the few apparantly

I mean, c'mon... you literally say goodbye to people for an hour on Earth, if not more. You can even call the people that aren't there to say goodbye. If that's not foreshadowing, I dunno what is. Sovereign vs Citadel fleet should've swept any idea of conventional victory under the rug.
We were missing an epic battle against 5 reapers with 30 other ones circling overhead. Totally more realistic than star child.

I'm sorry, but did you just use realism when talking about Mass Effect?
That game that's literered with metaphysical crap like 'essence' and the cypher from the start?
