nah, not really, i´m more into extreme metal (thrash, death, black) than "classic" heavy metal (you could have known that)
anyways, i think this track comes close to "heavy metal":
great track from a great album from a great band, one of the german thrash-pioneers and one of my absolute favourites. the guitar-work, especially in the solos, on their last 4 albums is just awesome.

Kreator is an awesome band! i still don't have Phantom Antichrist but i have a few of their other albums including Pleasure To Kill. old school all the way!
Idk, I just saw the word "metal" and immediately thought of YOU! LOL
have to imagine you going to a diy-market... "metal-screws? why the hell i have to think of Deathangel008 now?"

oh, you really miss something. i would like to call Phantom Antichrist their best album, but that wouldnt be correct because their other albums are great as well. have to admit that i dont really know the songs of the albums between Coma of Souls and Violent Revolution though, and the few tracks of this era i know i didnt really like.
personally i like their last 4 albums more than their 5 first.
That's accurate right? That's all I've gotten out of it.
please leave, heretic
and for some (blackened) death metal:

I listened to my fair share of metal back in the old days (I'm not going to specify when that is, relative to me); I kinda fell out of it for a variety of reasons as the years went by, but I still do get the pangs of nostalgia for it every once in a while. Here are a few highlights for me:
A lot of Scandinavian bands were absolutely obsessed with horrible production, on the assumption that it made the music more 'grim,' 'primal' or whatever. The urban legend with this album is that the band spent its production budget on expensive suits, cocaine, and a Corvette, although this has been denied by the band.
This is a very strange one but good one from Sigh, a sort of avant-garde black metal band from Japan.
If the last one wasn't weird enough, here's a song by an English band called Esoteric; very slow, very loud, and with a lot of reverb effects and psychadelic elements. Probably not recommended for most people.
I could probably go for a while with this stuff, but I'll leave it there for now.
