Brazilian death metal trio Krisiun! They are also all brothers and make some of the most brutal stuff I've ever heard.

I'm sticking with a Brazilian metal theme and going to post some Ratos De Porao! They're more grindcore style and their singer (think his name is Gordo) sings in all Portuguese. It's pretty awesome stuff.
This is a Sepultura song with Gordo from Ratos De Porao on it. Obviously since both bands are from Brazil they're good friends along with Krisiun. I'll get more into Sepultura later but for now here's their song 'Reza.'

I'm not a big metal fan but I love this piece by Means End, it's progressive metal but all the same to me.
The original is a choir piece by Eric Whitaker.

Metal is a very diverse genre of music. It's what makes it great in my opinion. Different sub genres that offer something different for everyone. Industrial metal is one of these sub genres which I would include Rammstein to be a part of. They have the guitar tone that is typical of metal and they write heavy riffs but incorporate heavy electronic beats and keyboards occasionally. I honestly don't think that they are that great of a band to begin with because to me their music is very simple. But their music is catchy and I'll still listen to them when I'm in the mood.
KMFDM would also be considered industrial metal. Hell you can even throw in Fear Factory and Strapping Young Lad when you go further down the line but those two bands start incorporating more elements of thrash and death metal as well. Just throwing in my two cents. ![]()

Sepultura is one of my all time favorite bands. I own all of their albums and I still like the music that they are releasing today. Some people gave up on them when Max Cavalera left the band back in 1997 but I think people are missing out. Yes, Dereck Green doesn't sound like Max but that was kind of the point. I think he does a great job and more. I personally like their last three albums very much ( A-Lex, Kairos, The Mediator Between Head And Hand Must Be The Heart) and consider it to be some of the best music they have every made. I also like the fact they still experiment with their music and can still offer a diverse range of musical styles rooted in thrash/speed/death/groove/tribal/punk/hardcore sounds.
From their A-Lex album which is about the Clockwork Orange.
This next song is off their Dante XXI album and it was the last album to feature Igor Cavalera on drums before reuniting with his brother to start Cavalera Conspiracy.

industrial metal, good point. i usually "ignore" this subgenre ![]()
my understanding of metal is mostly defined by thrash and death, and... thats not exactly close to the music Rammstein make. i´m not a fan of them, but they do have a couple of songs that i like, but i like them because of the lyrics and not the music, which is, like you said, simple and imo a bit boring.

Sepultura's latest album "The Mediator Between Head And Hands Must Be The Heart" is really awesome. It's the first album with their new drummer Eloy Casagrande and he delivers! He's also now the youngest guy in the band (24 I think.) The album took a more death metal approach but the songs are still quite diverse. The album was also produced by Ross Robinson (if anyone is familiar with his work.) He produced their Roots album back in 1996 which was the last album to feature Max Cavalera. It's one of my top favorite Sepultura albums now and the music is raw and gritty as ****.
First song off the album:
This song is reminiscent from the Roots era. They don't really do much tribal stuff anymore but this song incorporates that element. The guitars also have some serious crunch.

There is quite a bit of that posted in this thread
I'm honestly not too familiar with the genre but there some that have posted quite a variety of it. Moonsorrow comes to mind and I've never heard their music before until someone posted a song. It's really awesome. ![]()
