I´m just leaving this here, me likes it a lot.
and of course some of the usual suspects like Dio, Iron Maiden and co.

One of the best songs off of Suffocation's "Effigy of the Forgotten" album. I personally think the drums sound awesome on this album and Suffocation are talented songwriters/musicians to be able to pull off such technically controlled chaos.
Gorguts' first album was probably their most straightforward album before they started doing more technical stuff. Anyways I like this one.
This is one of my favourites, I think it's Chuck's testament.
Probably my favorite song from them, yeah.
Anyway:
Rob Zombie is one of my heroes, both because of his music and his love of classic horror cinema (and movies in general, I dig the reference to Blade Runner in this song).
I used to like some of White Zombie's music back in the day but then Rob Zombie just started practically making disco music in later years. I just couldn't get into it and I started calling it 'circus metal.' I will say I still like his Superbeast song.
On to more death metal, Cannibal Corpse's "The Bleeding" was my first album of theirs that I purchased. I was mostly intrigued by Alex Webster's bass playing since I'm a bass player myself and it was the first thing I noticed when listening to them. I consider him on of the best metal bassists out there (along with several others of course) and the bass tone on this album is one of my favorites. Alex himself even said that The Bleeding is still his favorite bass sound to this day out of all their albums. The Bleeding is also a good starting album for anyone who was curious about getting into CC. The songs are brutal and technical but also contain some of the catchiest guitar riffs that can get stuck in your head. The album is pretty short too at around 36 minutes. It was also their last album with original vocalist Chris Barnes.
Here's an interesting video of Alex explaining his technique, style, tone etc. for any guitar nerds out there.
Admittedly, I haven't read too much of the thread, so I'm not sure if they've been mentioned yet, but:
The Agonist (back when Alissa White-Gluz was on their roster). Pretty damn good. I haven't heard any song from them that I haven't liked (though I did slow down on their new releases when Alissa left). Also some pretty excellent drum work from Simon McKay. Alissa is one of the better female scream vocalists I've heard in recent memory (which is not really saying much, I haven't heard many female screamers and I don't listen to screaming much in general), but I do love her clean vocals. She manages to maintain her clarity while screaming, in addition to not being annoying to listen to while she does it. And, I have to say, Alissa is incredibly sexy.
Allisa sounds good. She fits pretty well for Arch Enemy although I still miss Angela Gossow
I was only familiar about The Agonist after she joined Arch Enemy. Both Angela and Allisa are pretty ladies of course.
Might as well post some Arch Enemy now. A personal favorite off of Rise of the Tyrant:
Speaking of Alissa White-Gluz, I really dig her guest features. She's done 3 now for Kamelot (One of my top 5 bands, and they formed in the same city where I was born).
A lot of the diehard fans give Tommy Karevik a lot of **** simply because he's not Roy Khan, but I think Tommy has done an excellent job in Roy's place. He even sounds like Roy, but not so similarly as to be a straight-up clone of Roy. I think their sound has actually gotten a bit heavier since Tommy joined up, which I personally like. Kamelot also has some great concept albums. Epica and The Black Halo are a 2-part musical retelling of the story of Faust, while Silverthorn is an original concept about a little girl who dies in an accident in Victorian-era England. My favorite concept would be the mini-concept on the Karma album, where the final 3 songs are a musical version of the legend behind Elizabeth Bathory.
edit: oops, linked the wrong video:

The only good stuff he did was in his BAND, White Zombie. All his solo stuff is trash
From Fear Factory's first album when they still had a more death metal influence.
..and this one is from their Demanufacture album. This one rules pretty hard.
A moment of glory for this kind of generic band
Ne Obliviscaris in black metal form? Yes, please.
cant find the studio version or a "professional" live version on YT ![]()
have to post this one again, because of the incredibly awesome guitar solo starting at 3:46^^
sami is a god^^
Forgot about these videos.
Cookie Monster can TOTALLY sing for Cannibal Corpse.
I'm going to receive a ton of flak for this from the "real" metal fans, but Disturbed finally came back together and are doing a new album, and have released a single:
Not gonna lie, I dig it.

yup Disturbed is always mislabeled as Nu Metal, but in fact they are really just Hard rock or alternative

Their only album that could really be labelled "nu metal" is their first. Past that.... I don't see it. But then maybe my definition of nu metal is off.

It was totally based off of being lumped in with their musical contemporaries, the barking thing in that one song, and looking somewhat whiteboy tribal?
