When did this finding nathaniel guest happen?
If Nat lived through Awakening (and it can be glitched and think he doesn't live even when he does), Hawke will meet Nat's sister in the courtyard with the chantry board and she will ask him/her to look for Nat, who had gone into the Deeproads on warden business and not come back. So you can go look for him and meet him in DA2.

I'm not completely finish the game yet, but I'm disappointed we don't have certain characters and we will not be getting them as DLC. The game is very fun. I plan on playing through it 3 times but their are many missing things I was hoping for in the initial release or as DLC.
Sandal was the man .. to this day I still hear my kids randomly yell "ENCHANTMENT!" throughout the house for whatever reason. I also miss the old morrigan, you know the hot one.
I wouldn't mind storing Isabella in my quarters for when I um, you know need her for stuff.

I do miss shale since a lot of the conversations and banter with her were genuinely funny. Never liked or disliked Sandal much as it seemed the joke around his character was pretty one note (he looks quite helpless but is apparently a ruthless combatant) I think dagna was a good replacement since she actually has a personality and some background, at least in my opinion, again, nothing really for or against sandal as a character.

Yeah, me too. Hopefully we'll get to meet Shale and Sandal again (we know Sandal will be back, just not when), and hopefully The Warden's Dog is with him/her. It's disappointing Hawke's Dog doesn't appear, but I think that might just be because he's DLC.
I'm thinking they left Sandal out so that they could bring him back after Bodahn dies, but it could be another few decades before he dies, so maybe not.
Sandal should never come back. Ever. He ruins every part of the game he is in with that stupid retarded face.

Yes, but different eye colors aren't too bad of a thing when you compare how badly they did on Alistair's and Zevran's entire faces.
Nathaniel could just be wearing colored contacts.
Contact lenses? Don't be absurd, there's no such thing in the world of Dragon Age.

It's in DA2 Act 3, This quest is available if the pre-built "The Martyr" or "No Compromise" background was chosen, or if a Dragon Age: Origins - Awakening import is used in which Nathaniel survives.
