The hate batarians thread.
First my Shep is a colonist so no reason to like four eyed freaks much.
But my true hate for them started when I met this girl Talitha.I almost cried my self
when I saw what they did to her.
And then was Terra Nova asteroid X57.To kill millions of people just for slaves??

I decided:no mercy for slaver scum!!
In Arrival I didn't warn them.Let them all die!!!
I hate batarians!!! Die slaver scum die!!!
Exterminate them all!!
But they kick ass in the MP.

@OP I'm pretty sure the terra nova incident wasn't over slaves.
I think that we should have got a batarian squad mate in one of the games so we could see a different side of them. Lila Shepard (ruthless colonist) has something of a distaste for them although she does try not to blame an entire race for how some extremists act.
The issue is that it kinda is the entire race that supports these extreme views. Slavery is a part of their culture.
Yea, Talking that girl down does pull at heart strings. i let Balak go to save the last of the people on on X57. I sure enjoyed killing him in ME3 though....
My Shep is usually a colony kid. From a young age he learns how cruel the galaxy can be. All major protagonists have some kind of trauma in their youth. It enriches the character.
Given this back ground it's not hard to understand a "kill every slaver you find" mentality. I spread that out to killing every Batarian I can... My Shep has some anger issues... Such things come from watching your friends and family being tortured and murdered by four eyed monsters.
My colonist shep mostly have trust issues ("everyone close to me tend to die or worst" kind). But she doesn't have anything with Batarians in general (its the pro-slave Hegemony that she has problems with) and she only have some beef with one Batarian on Omega who tried to poison her and she got him killed. Mwahaha. Too bad, she let Balak go because it doesn't feel right to kill him on Citadel. Let the Reapers have him.
I went with a Colonist Ruthless Shepard, killing every Batarian I've ever met, even those NPCs with Imaginary Grenades.
We need a Batarian squadmate.
Seriously.
Though I have to admire Balak's plan of dropping a planet-buster on Terra Nova, so simple yet devastating.
Plus his Batarian goons put up a good fight.
Kill them all.
Do you want a job? I am sure there are a few job openings for people like you to protect Human Interests in all corners of this galaxy and other galaxies.
I did play a few colonist/ruthless Shepards who I feel best exemplify a hatred for batarians. A soldier class one was named Frank Castle, which I felt was fitting; replacing mobsters for slavers.
Their hatred, determination, and ruthlessness for stopping batarian slavers really came out on Terra Nova with Balak. No way that monster got out of that alive.
