I have a unique ring with 10% heal on kill.  Does that mean it has a 10% chance to heal me when I make a kill or that I should heal by 10% when I make a kill?  If it is 10% chance to heal, then how much healing?  Whichever it is, it doesn't seem to help much.

...and arguably the best ring in game. You should feel lucky.

Solo routine on a new char (like an archer or something), get hit a few times, then kill something. You'll see the difference.

if it is not helping much that means one of two things. Either your not taking enough damage to be healed by it or Your not getting the killing blows on the enemies to be healed by it.  Otherwise 10% just from the ring tends to be at least a noticeable chunk of the bar.  Combined with other things it can be an even bigger chunk.

..plus it stacks with passive heal on kill abilities, and any weapon upgrades. You could even find a second ring too. Dont forget, many abilities kill more than one enemy, and 10% health an enemy adds up a lot at once.

I read in a post that wearing two 10% heal on kill rings will not stack.  Is this true?

Apparently, but you could always wear the 10% and the 5% together.

 

One is plenty, though.  I'd rather put the second ring as 10% crit chance or attack.
